SUMMARY

Calla Wolfe was orphaned at the age of eleven years old. Within the span of twenty-four hours, her mother and twin sister - everything her world revolved around - were gone, and she remembers it vividly. She remembers the ruckus emanating from her tiny apartment as she demurely played on the building's roof with her imaginary friend Elliot. She remembers the panic bubbling in her stomach as she ran back down the fire escape and through the halls of the eleventh floor. She remembers the blood, the awful deep crimson liquid that pooled on the carpet of what used to be her home. And she remembers the feeling that riddled her veins and plagued her soul beforehand - indicative of the horrors that she would come to see as she hastily pushed the door open. Her "gift." Her "death-sense."

The abilities that were passed down from female to female throughout Wolfe generations was what piqued director Nick Fury's interest all those years ago, when Calla's mother was just a girl. Since then, the family of death-force manipulators were kept under the watchful eye of S.H.I.E.L.D. — that is, until they suddenly disappeared from his radar. With the realization that something was definitely wrong, Nick Fury enlisted the help of a few trusted Avengers - freshly out of the Battle of New York - to track them down. With the skill set of Natasha Romanoff under their belts, such a task was easy. However, when the reached the family's apartment, the sight before them was not what they were expecting in the slightest. It was gruesome.

With an enhanced young girl left with no one and where to go, Nick Fury decided to take the path less traveled and offered up the prospect of her training with the Avengers. And, albeit somewhat begrudgingly, they reached a unanimous decision of agreement. Calla Wolfe was thereby taken under the receptive wings of what would soon become her family. 

After being taken in, the girl's abilities only amplified. New powers appeared, seemingly passed down to her from her mother and sister as Calla was the last living female in her family. 

Through many, many trials and tribulations, Calla and the Avengers stood together as a team no matter what - until the Sokovia Accords entered the picture. Now, with the sudden governmental proclamation that the World's Mightiest Heroes need to be better held accountable for their actions, the very family that helped put Calla back together, threatens to break apart. But, with the appearance of boy-genius Peter Parker, perhaps the girl will finally see the light in her darkness.
