Takeo had made a crawler for the night and tied it to a pole so that we all could get some rest. I for one, could not sleep while Tank, Richtofen, and Takeo slept like babies. Nikolai was sitting on his makeshift bed and watched me twirl around my necklace that my mother had given me before the breakout. "Comrade, y/n where did you get that necklace?" He said in monotone. I didn't answer, but I just looked at him and sat up to walk away from everything for a moment. He looked at me walk away and got up to follow me. "I was only asking y/n because-". "Nikolai please why would you care anyways, your family is probably still alive in Russia while mine on the other hand is gone forever and there is no way I'm getting them back so, mind your business and I'll mind mine." I snapped back at him. I fell back and slid down the wall only to break down in tears. He sat next to me and held my in his bear arms. "Y/n my family has been dead even before the breakout, plus I care for you too much and I want to be there for you whenever u need to talk about these things of the past." He said while placing his hand on my cheek, making me blush as red as a rose. We closed the gap between us and kissed each other very passionately. He picked me up and sat me on his lap while we parted for air and rested our foreheads together. "Will you be mine y/n?" He asked me while looking at me. "Oh Nikki, of course!" I said while snuggling up to him and falling asleep.
