3. JM'S DAD

[Irish]

My knees are still shaken from last night's interrogation of JM. Hindi pa ako naka move on. Para akong na gisa sa sarili kong mantika. JM is smart, and for wanting a father, he investigates. He asks me many questions about Jeremy, but I can't deny it. Not with a man looking so angry at me because he hears my conversation with my son.

"Are you okay?" Tanong ni Kelly.

"No, I'm not. JM completed his investigation and already knew. Jeremy was there, and I think he knows, too. It's just a matter of time that Jeremy will ask me his rights, and I don't know if I can deny it anymore."

"Problema nga 'yan."

"Ate, may naghahanap po sa inyong Tim Daniels, nasa baba po siya, papapasukin ko po ba?" Tanong ng kalalapit lang na katulong.

"Yes! Sabihin mo bababa na ako!"

"You lived with him, right? Does he know who your boy's father is?"

"No! But sooner, I need to tell him."

"Are you serious with him?" Tiningnan ko lang si Kelly.

What is it with them that they can't see, but Jereh does?

"Yes! Of course! After all, we have been living together for six years now."

"How come? When your heart says you are still in love with Engineer Jeremy Cirillo?"

"Let it go, Kel. Don't make me think right now. He got a fiancée, so what's good about admitting my feelings that I am still in love with him?"

"Ohh, loved. I wonder kung kailan ako maiinloved!"

"D'yan ka na nga!"

Iniwan ko si Kelly at bumaba ako, kitang kita ko ang maleta na dala ni Tim. Sa nakikita ko, mukhang problemado ang beshey ko.

"I miss you. Yakap ni Tim sa akin.

"I miss you too, T. Ganti kong yakap.

"What brought you here?"

"I'm in trouble babe, and you're the only one who can help me."

"Ok, sit down. Are you hungry or thirsty? Can I offer you anything?"

Hinawakan ni Tim ang kamay ko. "Ikaw ang kailangan ko. My parents want you back. They suspected that I am not what I am. This time, they want to see me getting married to you!"

"Oh, that's bad. I need a drink."

"Be serious. I need you now."

"I am serious. I need my head straight. I have my problems here, too!"

"Sorry. But I need your help. Please marry me."

"But I'm pregnant. I can't marry you."

"I can be the father. I don't care who's the father is. Just say yes!"

"Ok, I'll marry you."

Pagkasagot ko no'n ay isang malakas na pagsara ng pinto ang narinig namin at bigla kong nakita si Jeremy na seryoso at galit.

"What do you want?" I asked, but I suspected his reason for an unnoticed visit.

"It doesn't need a rocket scientist to add 1+1. I'm waiting for the paternity testing, but I am 99% sure that JM is my son. And I'm here to claim my rights!"
