"Hey.." I felt myself start to sweat.

"Hello dear~ Care to dance?"

"Oh, um, yes," I stammered.

Rae gave me a thumbs up and Demencia did one of the those motions that you're shaking both of your hands together your head, basically saying 'I'm rootin' for ya!'

This music was different compared to the music from before.

It was a bit more slow, but I kinda liked it.

The music kicked up again, and we started dancing.

I managed to not step on his feet.

....and then I did.

"Sorry," I whispered.

"It's alright," He paused, "You're nervous, aren't you?"

"Well, with at least 200 people and, or, demons staring at you; yeah, it's pretty stressful."

"Don't mind those idiots. I'm only doing this to promote business."

A few seconds of silence flew by until we started talking again.

"You look beautiful tonight, dear."

"Thanks..you look handsome."

Black Hat grinned widely at my remark, while I just smiled a little.

Soon enough, everyone else started dancing.

Demencia spun Tyler around like a rag doll.

She lead him all across the room, crashing into tables and all sorts of life forms there.

She looked like she was having the time of her life while Tyler looked like he was about to barf right into his bag.

I giggled at her dancing.

"Ugh! They're destroying the place!" Black Hat growled.

"Pffft! They look adorable," I laughed.

"Definitely not. He looks absolutely miserable."

"Or maybe just motion sick. I have a feeling he's having fun."

Black Hat glared at the way she was swinging him, "...possibly."

"You just hate being wrong, huh?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Well, when am I?"

I rolled my eyes, "Just keep stroking that big ego of yours, see where it gets you."

He ignored my comment and we kept dancing for a little while longer.

"Hey, Black Hat?"

"Yes?"

"I'm glad we met, even if I fucking hated your guts at first," I laughed.

He seemed surprised but then smiled, "I'm happy too."

And with that, we do finished or dance with the end of the song.

I walked off and was back in the kitchen with Rae.

"Y/n that was so cute!" She giggled.

"Yeah, Yeah, watch it," I scratched the back of my head while blushing.

"Aw, Y/n! No need to be shy!"

I guess I am kinda shy when a little when it comes to my feelings.

Just as we were still chatting, I heard loud boom and the manor shook

"What the hell was that?!" Rae asked.

"I don't know!" I answered.

We ran down the hall, on our way to the ball room until all the guests started running out.

I saw Tyler rushing everyone to get out at the front of the hallway, so I squeezed my way to him, leaving Rae behind in the crowd.

"Tyler! What's going on?!"

"Y-Y/n!" Tyler hurried over to me, "Y-You need to e-evacuate here now! There was an assassin disguised as a v-villain and h-him and b-boss are fighting now a-and.."

"Tyler, breathe," I put my hands on his shoulders.

Another boom erupted and I could hear a loud yell.

Or was it a battle cry?

"He's t-trying to overthrow jefe! Listen, you can't stay here, you and Rae need to get out of here."

"But..Okay. I'll get Rae out of here. I'll help people at the door if they need anything."

"O-Okay, t-thank you."

"Stay safe."

I ran up to Rae, who was waiting for me, "We gotta go."

"What's going on?!"

"Spy situation, but we have to go now!"

We ran out through the front doors, then waiting on the sides of them, waiting for everyone to spill out.

Everyone was panicked, scared and confused.

I was nervous that Black Hat could get hurt.

Yes, he's immortal, but he could get hurt!

Soon, everyone was outside except for Black Hat and whoever the assassin was.

As we waited in the courtyard, we all hear glass shatter.

The stained glass window of the ball room had broke, pieces falling around us.

I shielded my eyes, but I witnessed one haunting image.

Black Hat had been blasted through window.

I finally got off my ass and finished this!

So here's what's been stopping me; my health.

So, here's what happened.

One night, I was feeling my absolute worst and my parents decided to take me to UrgentCare.

I had a fever, UTI, and they were suspecting something happening to my kidneys.

They were afraid so they sent me to the hospital (and they gave me a bear that smells like chocolate)

I had to get a Catscan and an Ultrasound.

Right now I'm getting treated for Crohn's disease so it's not as bad.

Now I'm homebound (which basically temporary homeschooling)

And I've just been stressed out.

So that's why I haven't updated, and I did it in this book even though I've should've updated Liar Liar but I'm an idiot so ye
