❝Mysterious and entrancing; beyond ordinary understanding.❞
Not being able to differentiate between what's real and what's not, Elizabeth Jones finds herself drawn to an unknown town.
She was abandoned at birth, not having any memory for her family...
He was beyond amused with my little act. I don't see why he is always bothering me.
I hardly ever go up to him and ask how's the weather like in his annoying head.
"There's a bash up at Howell Lake this weekend. You should go." He lead me out of my thoughts.
I squinted my eyes at him just figure out if he was asking me out to the bash or was he commanding me to go.
"Its just a party, not a ancient ritual." He smirked.
"I know what a bash is okay! Just a bunch of drunkard teenagers and bad decisions." I huffed.
Little did he know that one of the reasons why I wasnt excited about going to this party was because that means we'd have to go through the woods to get to the lake.
And what ever dwelled in those woods sure as hell dwelled in my dreams too. And after what happened in school and the woods, there was no way on Earth I was going anywhere near the woods again. Period.
Suddenly Jace was just mere inches away from my body. His fingers had slowly caressed my cheeks leaving a trail of tantalizing sparks all over my body.
I felt as if I wanted to turn on my heels and run for the hill but at the same time I felt like tearing apart every shred of cloth covering his body and smashing my lips onto his.
Something about him was surreal.
"Are you okay?" He asked inspecting my face.
"I-Im fine." I stammered looking into his mysterious piercing blue eyes.
I pushed his hand away from my chin and quickly tucked the loose strand of hair behind my left ear.
"Thanks for the invite, but no thank you." I said in a matter-of-factly tone.
"Sorry for being kind." He said putting his hand in mid air and backing away from me slowly.
He eyes were cold again and he wore that bad boy facade all over again. Making sure that I didn't hurt his feelings.
And just like that, in a blink of an eye he seemed to have disappeared. Before that, I was wondering why he was the way he was.
So innocent and caring and then the next minute a monster. Stone cold, person.
I shook the thoughts away as I headed for the parking lot in search for my sister.
Stepping outdoors, the cool breeze swept past elegantly brushing through my hair and towards the school grounds.
Clutching the strap of my bag tightly as I searched the parking lot for the silver Kia Sorento that beloved to my spoiled sister.
I felt as if someone was creeping up on me so I reacted really fast whereby I lifted my arms to hit whatever that was coming up behind me.
"Woah easy with the swing there."
"Oh my god Steven, I'm so sorry..." I apologised.
"Oh no pressure, it's not like you were gonna actually hit me... hehe." He chuckled nervously.
"Yeah ahuh." I chuckled nervously.
"Right. So are you going to that bash by the lake?" He asked shortly.
"Steven, is this some kind of a joke?" I deadpanned.
"Am I laughing?" He asked quizzkly.
"Never mind." I said with a shake of my head.
"So are you?" He asked again.
"NO!" I half screamed at him.
"Okay.... and why not?" He asked.
What the fuck is wrong with people. Do they not understand what NO means.
"Because!" I waved my arm around with anger.
"Because...." He trailed off.
"There's a fucking angel of death just roaming around the woods waiting to kill me." I yelled with anger.
"The dark figure but angel of death works too" He corrected me.
"Oh my fucken lord!" I sighed heavily.
"I'm just saying, don't you wanna find out what the fuck this thing is? And why it's after you?" He asked me curiously.
"All I'm saying is that you can't find the answers if you don't ask the questions Eliza."
And with that Steven had turned his back and had left. Probably going to meet up with the other boys.
As I waited in the parking lot for Kaylah to show up after practise, I couldn't stop thinking about what Steven had said.
I wanted answers but the thing is, I am terrified of asking the questions.
