"Alice, we're moving." My Dad said me as we were sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner.

Isabella stays quiet, not wanting to upset me any further than I already was.

"But why? What's wrong with staying here?" I asked, upset.

"Nothing is wrong. It's just we need a fresh start and plus I got a new job over in this town. So, we need to move." He explained to me.

"Well, I don't want to move. I want to stay here." I said.

"I am sorry, sweetie. That just isn't possible. But I do know how much you miss your mom but she would want us to be happy, don't you?"

I didn't say anything. He was right. I did miss Mom a lot since she died six years ago and I knew Dad missed her too and had only gotten married to Isabella recently about six months ago.

"Honey, we should give her time to process this,so, why don't we end dinner early tonight and talk about it later when everyone is calm." Isabella said.

"Yeah let's do that." Dad agreed with her.

I go to my bedroom after dinner was cleaned up and flopped down on my bed, burying my face in my pillow and cried.
