Midnight had decided to try to alleviate Ishi's current pain by simply sitting on the bed next to her, rubbing her shoulder, and wiping away her tears.

The rest of the teachers decided to leave the room and come up with a game plan on who, how, and where they would take care of her. They knew she needed to work on talking and based on the practice work in her shelter it was unlikely she knew very much about any type of school subject, but they couldn't just send her to school because of her bandages interfering with her sight and with it her ability to see whatever the teacher would write on the board.

Lunch rush ran down to the first-floor kitchen to make some food for Ishi to eat when she felt up to it. He returned shortly later with some pastries, tea, and rice since he deemed them to be great comfort food. He put a cover over the platter when he found out Ishi had fallen asleep in Midnight's arms, the day had been eventful so it was a good thing that she was able to rest and process everything that had happened.

Midnight fell asleep with Ishi so everyone turned off the light and left them alone.

A few years later everyone in U.A had grown accustomed and even to love their adopted charge. They still didn't know very much about her, but that was less because she wouldn't tell them and more because she didn't know or couldn't remember. She had had the bandages wrapped around her face the moment she accidentally killed her mother in the hospital after being born. It took her a while to understand what the snakes were telling her so she hardly knew anything about what was going on around her. She had adjusted to her new life and was very grateful for it.

"And when you divide by zero you realize it's a special case, and what do we do with special cases?" Midnight explained.

"Treat them differently" Ishi responded.

"Okay you look at the board and take notes and I will come back in a little bit" She announced as she left the room. Ishi untied the bandages around her head being careful not to hurt any of the snakes buried under them. She looked up at the board that Midnight had been writing on, it was covered in diagrams and written versions of everything that she had said Ishi pulled her notebook toward her and copied down all of the notes before reaching for a sheet of paper which had practice problems on it for her to try. Since the heroes knew that she would not take off the bandages whenever there was someone in the room but she still wanted to learn they had devised the system where it was three-part learning, simply listening to all the teacher had to say, the teacher leaving and her then taking off the bandages taking the notes and trying it out for herself, and then the teacher returning to check the world and add any additional information they decided might be helpful.

Today she had most of the day off, however, because today was the entrance exams which meant that Present Mic would be up on stage announcing or giving directions, Recovery girl would be helping anyone who was too reckless with their fighting, Aizawa would probably be sleeping still, Midnight would be administering the written tests which was what she went off to do when she left the room, and Nezu along with the rest of the staff -excluding the new hire, All Might- would be judging the practical test.

Ishi had hardly left U.A. campus, or even the teacher dorms for that matter, she was traumatized. Whenever she thought about going out she remembered killing that man in the street all those years ago and suddenly she couldn't move anymore, she had tried walking out past the barrier gate into the city, but something in her brain stopped her, she couldn't. But she was okay with it, she liked everyone in the apartment complex, they took good care of her and she was never lonely anymore.

Her chin lifted and she flinched slightly in her large chair, all of her snakes went in a frenzy and her head turned wildly desperately trying to find whatever had caused a noise so loud that it actually shook the earth. She couldn't though, and she was too scared to leave her room to find out, so she just crawled on the floor, using the carpet to ground her thoughts to her current place, she looked up and extended her arms to pull herself up and onto her large plush bed. She pulled her old stuffed animal out from under her pillow and curled up around it, shaking.
