14 years before start of story

Morrowseer stared down at the dark blue egg before him that had started to shake. He still was not sure how Nightcross had managed to get a seawing egg when their hatchery's where not only underwater, but also at a unknown location, but none the less, Morrowseer was not about to let this opportunity slip through his claw.

He was  brought out of his thoughts by the egg. Small cracks branched out from the first place where the young dragonet had started to try to break themselves out.

The large nightwing's eyes widened when the 'seawing' had finally made its way its of the egg, large amethyst colored eyes stared up at him, and delicate wings gently unfurling as the dragonet looked back to see its dark purple wings spread out, only a little larger then its self. Morrowseer chuckled to himself, moving his claws to pick up the delicate little dragonet.

Now, Morrowseer had expected a lot of things to happen, as he had never seen a seawing dragonet before, especially mot a newly hatched one, but never in his wildest dreams did this outcome ever come to mind.

The dragonets eyes went back to staring at the dragon holding it, as he continued to laugh. The queen would be very happy at the turn of events, knowing that it would help with the plane even more then hoped. Moving the dragonet on to his back, hidden by his wings, he stared on his way to see the queen, making sure no one would notice the dragonet. The had been hatched in an out of the way place near the water so no dragon besides him would witness the hatching, keeping the dragonet a secret till they were sure it was the right time, no reason to make it common knowledge yet and risk the plan possibly being unveiled to soon.

Making his way to the throne room, Morrowseer knocked on the door, patiently waiting as two guards opened the door on the queens command. Inside the counsel was set around the place, the queen siting on the throne at the front of the room.

The nightwing of the counsel all stared at him, most having there eyes narrowed, trying to find out why he was here. The queen nodded to her self, dismissing the counsel and telling the guards to wait outside the closed doors.

A couple minutes later, the room was void of all but the three. Morrowseer moved the dragonet back in front of him, causing the small dragon to cower slightly at the gaze and smile the queen was giving it.

The queen gave out a laugh, much like Morrowseer had when he had first saw the dragonet. "Well, well, well. This is a sudden and unexpected turn of events. I take that you did not allow anyone to see her?" Morrowseer gave a nod and Battlewinner walked closer to the pair, picking up the dragonet and examining her.

"Well, I do believe we should give her a name, calling her dragonet or hybrid all the time will not due. Hm." She looked up at Morrowseer from the dragonet. "But the turn of event is certainly unexpected. Nightcross was the one who found her, yes?" At his nod her smile seemed to grow.

"Good, get one of the guards to fetch him, will you." She turned her gave to the small nightwing-seawing hybrid who was gazing at her curiously. "He obviously left out a few, details."

Morrowseer nodded, turning to the door and opening it. Calling to one of the guards, he sent them to got find Nightcross. Walking back over to stand by the queens side, the trio waited for the nightwing to arrive, the dragonet slowly falling asleep in the queens claws.

When Nightcross, finally arrived, the pair had lost all patients, and glared at him as he came in. "Finally!" Battlewinner bellowed at the nightwing walked into the room, dirt and ash covering him. Nightcross quickly fell into a deep bow before her. She continued to glare down at the dragon on the ground in front of her smoke coming out of her nostrils.

"It does not do well to keep me waiting, you are lucky you still have use to me." Nightcross stayed quiet, not daring to move. The queen made a clicking sound with her tongue. "Rise now and tell me where you really found the egg you brought to us."

Nightcross rose, face void of emotions at the queens words. "I do not know what you are talking about" Battlewinner's eyes narrowed at the nightwing before her who refused to meat her eyes, choosing to instead stare at the wall behind her.

"It is best not to lie to me. So I will ask you once again where you found the egg before I allow Morrowseer to get the answers out of you." Nightcross's eyes shot over to stare at said nightwing before training them back to where they were staring at before.

"In a nest on an abandon island in the outer edges of the kingdom. I stumbled across it while doing recon. I did not believe that where I found the egg was important."

The queen examined him, eyes staring at him as though she could get all the answer to her questions if she just stared at him long enough. "Guards!" Nightcross's eyes widened as she yelled, face morphing into panic as the doors opened at her voice and the two guards walked in, spears already pointed at him. "Take him to the dungeons, I will finish dealing with him later. In the mean time, someone go get me Mastermind!"

The guards cornered Nightcross, one guard in front of him leading the way and the other behind him, probing his tail with his spear when her stopped walking. Morrowseer walked out to get Mastermind, leaving Battlewinner and the dragonet as the last dragons left in the throne room.

The queen stared down at the small dragon resting in her claws and gave a smile that could be considered loving if not for the look in her eyes, giving her more of a psychotic look.

She lifted the dragonet into the air, waking her up from her nap as the two stared at each other, Battlewinner's smile not changing. "Well then, I believe Deepsea fits you just nicely, don't you thinks so, my new warrior." The newly named dragonet just gave a smile back, her fangs shining dangerously in the torch light.
