Chapter 2:
"So I was thinking like bright pink, but my mum says that when I grow up, i'll change my mind. But then i could re-do it no. Grace are you even with me."
Emily had cut her speech short after realising that she had drowned so deeply in her magazines and catalogues, she had failed to realise she lost my attention a very long time ago. "I'm sorry I've been talking about my room too much. Let's settle down and watch the movie"
"Listen whatever colour your going to choose I'm sure it will look perfect and even if we grow up and look back at it we're going to laugh ey." I remarked doing everything humanly possible to reach for the remote without having to move from her massive double bed.
Everything about the room gave the indication that she was a really spoilt little girl. Everything was extra large, fit for a princess. The walls were sky blue or closer to lavender. She had a trunk stuffed with so many stuffed animals she kept ever since she was a little girl. A poster of Mother Teresa was hanged on the far corner of the wall as she was her role model, whilst the one near her bed contained all of the princesses. Athough they were only there to fulfil her mother's fantasy of having a perfect little princess. She loathed all the princesses' guts and would pass by spitting on the poster every time she did.
"I'm sick of being young, I want to grow up and travel and leave this place. I want to go everywhere. Visit places. Visit people." Emily cried danced around on her bed dreamingly heading over to the sweets we had brought.
"Yh that would be nice wouldn't it, just taking a car or train and going anywhere, just anywhere." I replied.
Caine had promised me that when we grew a little older he would take me to visit the whole country and when we were adults to visit the whole world. He had also promised me that when he brought a car -a black range rover I had specifically asked him to get- he would take me anywhere I wanted to. All I had to do was simply click my fingers and he was there he would say.
Emily had suggested the same thing, though she was a little less patient, there was no waiting until we were adults, she planned on waiting at most until we both looked like adults, the rest she said was easy to pull off I mean why else are there fake ID's.
If Emily could drive - well I would like to illuminate the though from my mind - I just had to hope that Emily would never get her hands on a driving licence ... Or a car for that matter. The girl was serious danger to the human population.
Allow me to empathise. A few years back when we were still seven she pressed the fire alarm which resulted in massive chaos. Fire brigades, police officers, and parents freaking out also since the teachers had no knowledge of any practise fire drills they too were freaking out. Or the other time when she had tried driving the school bus and poor Mr. Bob had to run and jump into the bus to save us. The dear police officers and fire department were yet again called in. Or the time she decided to make some salad. Why fire got involved in the process and their house almost got burnt down I had no idea. Nor did I care to ask.
