Chapter 4: D-d-date?!

-Zac's P.O.V.-
Bumalik ako sa kinainan namin kanina. Buti handun pa rin lunch boxes namin and ung natitirang mga pagkain.

Inayos ko na ung boxes namin para ma-iakyat ko na tong pagkain namin.

No sign of the group of girls.

Good.

I hurried back to the library and as I open the door, una kong nakita is Drenaline reading a book.

Her face is really cute to look at.

Nilagay ko muna ung boxes namin sa nearby counter since bawal magdala ng mga bags sa library.

Tumabi ako sa kanya and took a peek sa binabasa niya.

"Ano ung binabasa mo?" Panimula ko.

She looked at me straight into the eye. After that, nagsalita na siya.

"For starters, it's about two lovers facing the same problem; cancer. They both tried to live life to the fullest by loving each other. Guy lost one of his leg, while girl is having a hard time to breathe. But despite those burdens, their love and support was unconditional for each other."

I'm amazed. Unlike most readers na kung magexplain ng story ay parang kinekwento na lang nila, she summarized it yet I still understood it.

"Wanna read with me?" She asked.

I nodded, pero nagulat na lang ako ng bigla niyang binalik sa chapter 1.

"Di mo ba itutuloy yun?"

"Ok lang. Nabasa ko naman toh' a lot of times already AND watched its movie adaptation."

We read together. May 25 minutes pa naman before magstart ung 5th period.

"I'm hungry~" She groaned.

Bumalik ako sa counter to get my lunchbox. I fished in it to find something to eat.

Luckily, may chocolate bar pa ako. Bawal kumain sa loob ng library, obviously. Hindi lang siya bawal pag di ka magpapahuli.

I went back to where she's seated. I opened the bar, broke a square, then sinubuan ko siya.

Her face turned really red. Nakatingin siya sa akin at sinimangutan ako. Natawa na lang ako sa nangyari.

"Want another one?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

"No. No I don- "

"I'll take that as a yes."

Bago pa siya nakapagreact, sinubuan ko pa siya ulit ng isa pang square ng chocolate.

I just smiled at her.

She looks so damn cute pag namumula siya.

Binalik na lang niya ung tingin niya sa book.

I can see her bright blush clearly. I just love seeing her that way.

"By the way..." Nagsalita ako after namin matapos ung chapter one. "Can I... ask you a favor...?"

"I do owe you." She smiled at me.

"Nung sinabi ko kanina..." Nahihiya ako. I don't know how to put this. "...yu-yung bago ta-tayo pumunta sa libra-brary..." Nauutal na ko. Anytime, I'll just faint. "...can we ac-actually go on a date?"

My dignity collapsed.

Ok. I might've been too straightforward because the look on her face INSTANTLY changed.

Sino naman di magugulat dun? Napakatanga mo, Zac. Nagkakilala lang kayo, tapos date agad? Aba, masyado ka naman naging matapang.

Suffer from remorse, Zac. Suffer from your brutal mistake. You deserve such mourning grieve.
