"Rightttttt," she chuckles, and begins to brush her teeth. As my offensive move, I creeped my hands behind her waist and abruptly tickle her.

"DABIN! S-STOOPPP," Nancy squeals. Just because she sounded super adorable, it made me tickle her even more. The both of us were laughing and attacking each other until Chubz waddled into the room and yapped at us from the doorway.

So, I decided to surrender - even though I obviously had the advantage - and cuddled my puppy. I lifted her into my arms and cradled her by my chest - and at this, Nancy giggled and started petting Chubz, despite having her toothbrush between her lips.

I chuckled at the sight, "Clean up first, Nance. You can hold her after."

When she looked up to meet my eyes, they resembled that of a playful puppy. Her eyes were open wide and there was this unexplainable glitter that made them look brighter. Nonetheless, she smiles from ear to ear and mumbles an Okay before cleaning herself.

As I rocked Chubz in my arms, I observed Nancy through the mirrror and I couldn't help but notice how imperfectly perfect she was.

Her hair pointed at odd angles, her clothes were extremely wrinkled, she wore a bare face, and she was still very sluggish from waking up and lifting me off of her body.

But the thing is:

Her skin radiated and literally glowed, her morning persona was still so upbeat and down to earth, and her smile instantly made everything a thousand times better.

I'm so in love with her, sometimes, I wanna cry.

As distracted as I was, I looked back into the mirror and met Nancy's eyes looking into my own, but she immediately averts her gaze and I think I see a little blush rimming her cheeks.

Or maybe it was just the lighting, I dunno.

...

Since the party was at my place, the both of us left pretty early but decided to take a walk since Chubz really need it. When we got out, I decided to hold onto Nancy's gifts while she walked Chubz.

As we walked, we passed the coffee shop I went to last night and saw that it wasn't overly busy.

So, I asked Nancy, "Wanna grab something really quick? The coffee isn't so bad."

Since she had Chubz's leash, at the question, my puppy tries to run towards the store. She looks back at me while she chases Chubz and laughs, "Okay!"

I couldn't help but smile at the scene and ran for them. Being that I was faster than Nancy, I held the door open for her and she mumbled a thank you.

As we stood in line, I noticed that the guy - Seung, I believe his name was - was working at the bar today. When he spotted me, he gave me a brief smile before going back to work.

"Hey there, what can I get for you today?"

Nancy looked at me, signalling me to go first, but I waved her off so she could order. With a defeated, yet playful sigh, she says, "May I have a caramel latte please?"

"Alright, is there anything else I could get for you?"

I just asked for a vanilla latte, and when the worker told us our total, Nancy and I whipped out our cards and looked at each other.

"Please, don't accept her money."

"Ya, let me pay!"

"Nanshie, don't tap."

"It's okay, I got it. It's on me today."

"Nah, just let me take it."

The both of us were trying to shove each other back as the worker held the debit machine in amusement at what she was seeing.
