Something's not quite right about Emery and Taylor's school. They know they aren't dreaming, this is reality. The students themselves have supernatural powers, teachers are disappearing throughout the day, and the principal had passed away out of th...

"Where the hell were you?" a furious Taylor said, crossing her arms. She was staring down Emery for being late, once again, to the millionth meet-up they've had.
Emery sighed. His bad habit of being late to basically everything was something not everyone, including his best friend, Taylor, liked. Not everyone tolerated it either. That may be the sole reason why Emery only has one friend, one friend who can actually forgive and forget a million times.
"I'm sorry, I was caught in traffic." He reassured her.
Taylor observed Emery for a moment. As she did, she got closer and closer to her face, seeing if he'd break. She then continued walking around him before saying, "That's bullpoop."
The thing is, Emery also has a bad habit of lying every now and then. And unfortunately, if you're friends with Taylor, she likes honesty, and can sensr when people, especially Emery, are lying. It was a weird "power" she discovered about herself. But then again, who doesn't lie nowadays, anyways?
Emery rolled his eyes. "Fine, I got here late because I was sleeping. I was taking the best nap ever before I got a text message, in all caps from you, saying where the hell was I. You know, you didn't even tell me we were meeting up today."
That fact was true. Taylor had failed to remind Emery why she wanted to meet up with him. And that was because of three reasons. One, because it's almost the end of summer. Two, Taylor wanted some coffee, and Starbucks had a buy 1 get 1 free deal today. And three, because they'll be starting university, and they had both planned on attending the same college. If not, they might judt go insane and probably kidnap the president. Who knows?
"Why'd you even summon me anyways?" Emery questioned. He was so confused as to why Taylor would invite him here all of a sudden on such short notice. Especially to a Starbucks. Emery disliked Starbucks.
"Well first off, summer's ending. We hardly did anything this summer." Taylor had regretted not doing anything fun this summer. She really wanted to do some things in her free time, like go to the beach and get tanned. However, she didn't want to accidentally sleep and not wake up for a long period of time, only to find out she tanned way too long and looks like a burnt chicken nugget. So, she stayed home 24/7 watching Netflix while eating hoagies. Actually, nevermind. She did do something fun this summer after all.
"Most importantly however, we're going to university soon." Taylor brightly smiled delighted. She couldn't wait to go to university. She had so many plans; so many things to do! Yet, such a short period of time as well.
Emery sighed. He disliked the idea of school and such. I mean, what was the purpose of going to seek even more education right after he had 4 torturous years of high school already? Then again, on the plus side, at least he'll be spending time with his best friend. And who knows? Emery might find the right person at their new school.
