Imaginary Games

Remember all those imaginary games we used to play,

On the playground wasting the day.

We were mermaids with shiny tales,

Or adventurers on a boat without sails.

We were cats on the hunt for some mice,

Where the only rule was to play nice.

We were Rainbow Fairies with sparkly dust,

And swinging as high as we could was a must.

We had secret hideouts and only we knew where,

We didn't play spin the bottle and truth or dare.

We made up our own worlds and that was where we hid,

All those times a a kid.

On the playground wasting away the day,

Remember all those imaginary games we used to play?
