One of his earlier roles along with being involved in a modeling agency, Ian started off as Boone Carlyle in the TV series 'Lost'. Boone is one of my favorite genuinely underestimated characters. He's a sweetheart that puts others before himself and is secretly in love with his stepsister (she's a brat and he could do better but whatever). Anyways I have not finished this series but as far as Boone Carlyle goes I would give this series a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ian's most famous role was playing Damon Salvatore in the hit series 'The Vampire Diaries'. Okay if you have not watched this show please do. His persona at first is in comparison with Regina from OUAT and if you loved her off the bat you will love Damon right away as I did. Damon is a seriously underestimated character as well. His character development is epic. This series is a romance as well as a drama. But don't worry, it's also a suspense at some points as well. People underestimate this series, but honestly give it a go it's one of my favorites as is Damon😍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another fun fact: Ian and Niki have both played vampires in famous roles. Ian in the vampire diaries and Niki in the Twilight saga as Rosalie. They're fucking adorable.
For four years of the vampire diaries, Ian has also dated another vampire star Nina Dobrev who played Elena Gilbert in The Vampire Diaries as well.
