Chapter One

It was the start of the day at Tsukat
High School.

I had just entered the rowdy first period classroom and sat parallel to my best friend Summer at the back of the class. Summer sat at the window and I sat across from her. Summer had been my best friend since I moved to this school last year. I moved because of Shin. Shin was my stalker. He had been dangerously obsessed with me since we met. He had even attempted to kill my previous best friend, Ted. Ted had to go to the hospital but.. died of blood loss. I moved town every time I knew he was nearby, but every timehe managed to find me. Not this time though.

The teacher entered the class and told everyone to settle down. After a minute everyone was at their desks.

"Class, today we have a transfer student!" She said. Joyful expressions waved over the class, yourself included.

Whispers filled the class, mostly people wondering if it was a boy or a girl. The teacher clapped her hands to get everybody's attention.

"You can come in now, Shin."

The name Shin echoed through my mind as the door slowly opened. It had to be a coincidence, right?

However, it was not. Shin walked inside and smiled brightly. Shin was speaking to the class about how he hoped he would have a 'great year' being with them. He looked right at me as he was talking. His eyes pierced me with fear. Shin's red eyes looked friendly at a glance, but I knew what he was really like. I knew the REAL Shin. The Shin that kidnapped me.
I only managed to escape by sheer luck.

——————FLASHBACK——————

He had me locked in the family room with him. If I weren't carrying my pocketknife from the protection class I had earlier that day, I would still be kidnapped. The slash across his cheek was still there, although significantly smaller now. He was lucky he had uncaring parents who threw money at him. That's how he got away with it.

He got away with it because he came from a rich, scary crime family.
He convinced his parents to pay the cops to look the other way.

———————PRESENT———————

The teacher smiled sweetly at Shin. "That was a nice introduction. Moving on to your seating position.. The only spots we have are at the back. Are you okay with sitting next to Asano?" She said, pointing me out. As if he didn't already know. Shin nodded and walked over next to me, sitting at his desk.

When the whole class had their attention on the teacher writing down equations. Shin turned his head to me. "Long time no see, Asano."

My heart started beating quickly as I turned away, attempting to focus on the equations. Shin pinched my arm.
I turned my head towards him carefully .

"Go away" I said, trying to keep the fear out of my voice.

He then grabbed onto my arm very tightly and I turned to look at him, wincing from the pain.

"Don't you know it's rude to ignore people?" I pulled away, resulting in deep scratches in my arm.

My arms started showing sources of blood and I put my other arm up. The teacher pointed at me and I showed her my arm.

"Miss, my arm is bleeding, may I go to the nurse?" I said, holding my now bleeding arm.

"Very well." She said with a slight nod.

I quickly walked past the annoying hall monitor and opened the door to the school nurse. She looked very concerned. "Those are some very deep cuts. I will bandage them up, but you can go home for the day to rest." I felt safe. Shin didn't know where I lived. I was free to search on my laptop for new schools for the whole day. I had to get away from Shin.

———————TIME SKIP———————

I entered my home rushed to my bedroom. I picked up my laptop and started searching for new schools. A few minutes after finding the best contending school, my entire laptop screen went black, with the horrifying white text on it.

'I can't let you get away that easily..

I began to hyperventilate and passed out shortly after that.
