It's been quite some time now since i've been to a party or had a getaway.
It was 8:20 AM in Riverdale High. The core 4 Kevin, Betty, Veronica and Archie were chatting about an upcoming "mini weekend getaway" in Veronica's lodge in the woods just outside Riverdale. "So, Betty, Kevin! What are your plans this upcoming weekend"? Veronica asked. "Oh, nothing really. Just gonna study for our Biology test, I guess". Betty said." I need a hot man candy!Im a literal 17 year old gay male in Riverdale High watching mean girls 24/7". Kevin said with a snicker.
"If you guys want, I have this little getaway planned for all of us. Especially since Kevin's moving away to San Fransico soon. So it could be like a getaway/goodbye-ish party"! Veronica happily offered. "Actually Veronica, that'll be fun. Count me in! I guess I could use a little fun once in a while". Betty said as Kevin agreed.
It was nearly the end of the day.With 1 period left of the day Betty decided to skip and go to the Blue and Gold.When she walked in she saw Archie finishing up a promposal poster for Veronica. "How cute". Betty said teasing Archie."Hey! May I inform you that this took a solid week to make"! Archie said in a playfully angry voice."Betty, I'm gonna head to English.Bye! I'll text you later".Archie said while walking out the room.
School has Offically ended for the day
4:00 PM
Betty POV
I was looking through my wardrobe looking for outfits to pack for the weekend until I heard a knock on the window. Of course! Right when I was busy. I walked over to my window to see Archie. I opened up the window and moved away to grant him permission to enter. "Hey" he said. "Hi, what are you doing here"? I asked concerned. " Well Betty Cooper, I need a band-aid. I cut my beautiful finger while trying to cut apple slices" Archie said with a pout."Sure, Band-aids are in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom" I said."I'll be on my way now Cooper". Archie said while holding up the band-aids in his right hand.
I continued to look for outfits after Archie left. I picked out a couple pairs of shorts and an extra pair of jeans.And for my top I packed 1 croptop and a few T-shirts. And of course comfy clothes for me to sleep in.
Friday 6:45 AM
I woke up and rubbed my eyes like every morning.I got up for my bed and stretched while walking to my bathroom. I quickly took a 10 minute shower and brushed my teeth. After my morning routine I went to my wardrobe and picked out a outfit.I decided to wear blue denim ripped jeans with a black halter followed with a grey cardigan.
I walked down the stairs and greeted my mom and dad a good morning.I sat down at the dining table and ate my Toast and drank my Orange juice. Once the clock hit 7:20 AM I headed to Archie's house and we walked to school like every morning."How was your morning Betty"? He asked me."Oh it was great thank you,what about you"? I asked."Oh it was fine, you know the usual".He said with a smile while I chuckled.
7:45 AM
"Ahola!" Kevin said greeting us into the student lounge.We all discussed on what we were gonna do while staying in Lodge lodge. For our first day me and Veronica were gonna order a couple pizza's for Kevin's going away party there while Archie decorated.We all decided to invite Cheryl,Dilton,Reggie and Toni. Cheryl's girlfriend. We've never actually met her before.All we know is that Toni is a Serpent from the Southside, which we were all cool with.
11:55 AM
We all headed to the outside to eat our lunches.Veronica made an announcement.
"Well, I've decided that we are leaving tonight at 5:00 PM to head to Lodge lodge". Veronica said. I guess it wouldnt hurt to leave a day early I thought to myself, so I agreed. So did Archie and Kevin.
3:34 PM
The bell had officially rang for school to be over.The hallway was crowded with teenagers screaming about their weekend plans.I went to my locker and grabbed my backpack and a couple books.
I was heading to the exit until I heard my name called out by a oddly familiar voice.
"Betty!Wait up!" The voice said.
