"Dig in, guys!" Ashley grinned, grabbing a forkful of food and putting it in her mouth. We were currently sitting on the carpeted floor of Ashley and Calum's flat. I smile at her, eating a forkful myself. I hum in appreciation as I swallowed the delicious dish.

"Literally, the best lasagne ever!" I praise, grabbing another forkful.

"What did I tell you?" Calum moans, his mouth chock-full of food.

Ashley cringes, glaring at him.

"For goodness sake, Calum. Where are your table manners?" she scolds.

"We're sitting on the floor, Ashley." He rolls his eyes at her and I stifle a giggle.

"Anyone would mistake you for a married couple," I laugh as I ate another bite of the food.

"Oh please. I'm already living with his lazy ass. He doesn't do anything, Tori! I'm the one who cleans, I cook!" she gestures to the lasagne on our plates. Calum shakes his head, smirking. He holds his finger up, to silence us as he swallowed the food in his mouth.

"That's not true, I clean." he assures us, swallowing another bite.

"Oh really?" Ashley taunts, with a raise of her eyebrows. "When was the last time you cleaned your room, Cal?" she asks, sipping water from her glass.

"You sound like my mother, Ashley" he rolls his eyes.

"No seriously, when did you last clean that room of yours?" she asks him, smirking at me.

"I don't know..." He mutters and Ashley shakes her head in dissaproval.

"He's filthy. Mentally and physically," she shudders, eating another forkful of food. I do the same, smiling as I swallowed.

"How am I mentally filthy?" Calum asks, pushing his empty plate away from him.

"Yeah?" I ask, changing positions on the carpet getting comfortable.

"Oh my goodness, he has the dirtiest mind ever!" she exclaims and Calum laughs.

"That couldn't be more untrue!" he interjects. I laugh, swallowing my last bite of food, and pushing the plate away.

"Bullshit." Ashley declares, turning to face me. "I have to put up with the constant "that's what she said" jokes, and him making constant references to the length of his penis," she shakes her head in disapproval.

Calum lets out a cackle of laughter, his eyes crinkling at the sides. His pearly teeth glistened in the dim light of the living room, and I laugh along with him.

"That's actually true," he admits once our laughter had subsided.

"It's disgusting," she mutters. "Calum's the type of guy who'd come into your house. Be really sweeet to your mother, and be a "good ol' sport" with your father. But then he'll fuck you in the closest public restroom." She remarks and I let out a spluttering laugh.

"No!" Calum exclaims.

"No?" she intejects.

"I'd fuck her at my place, public bathrooms are unhygienic," he states and Ashley glares at him.

"You are vile," she accused.

"But you love me," Calum grins leaning towards her.

"Go away, Calum" she says, pushing his head away. But as she looked away I could see a small smile playing at her rosy lips.

I'm really glad Ashley and Calum are my neighbours, they seem like the kind of people you want to be around. I would kill for a friendship like theirs. And...Ashley makes great lasagne. I gather the dirty plates together and stand up.
