A/N:
I am writing this one first since Wilson X Wes is low key my favorite ship. My OTP to be exact. I am not going too hard on this even though this is my number one supported ship, but it's because I am organizing these fanfictions in a specific order. Since I am writing this now, I will tell you the order of these fanfictions: One-shot, fluff, lemon.
If you want to skip this, go ahead. I wont know anyways. Now, to the fanfiction.
Nighttime rolled in, feeling like only minutes of day light has been used in one day. Wilson — dubbed the title The Gentleman Scientist — is back at camp's base to start a fire for anyone who manages to return to the base. With only left with a few spare logs from clearing out a forest earlier that morning, he quickly refines the remaining logs into sturdy yet highly flammable boards. He hears the dark and ghastly whispers of Charlie getting close as he lingers in the darkness. Wilson panics, his fingers fumbling and dropping some of the wood from his hands. A sharp and ridged side of the wood slides on his palm, splinters penetrating his pale hands. He winces slightly but doesn't stop to finish his job. Charlie on the other hand, seems to be only feet away from Wilson, emanating a raspy shriek from behind him. It was too late...
He finally lets out a cry of help before he was killed by the Queen herself. "Help me!! Someone please help!" No response was returned back to him. But before he thought he was about to meet his demise, he hears the sound of familiar light footsteps sprinting on the plush grass. Wilson knows who it exactly is, feeling his hope return to him. Rushing through the gate and slamming it behind him, he turns around to face Wilson, the glow from the torch in his hand revealing the face of his dear friend.
The fair color of skin, rosy cheeks, and dark circles around the eyes is the familiar face of Wes. He quickly darts toward Wilson, shining a light over him to ward off Charlie. The shriek stopped. She was gone. Wilson slowly gazed up at the face of the friendly mime and smiled weakly. "Wes..." Wes looked down at him and waved with a brightly drawn smile at Wilson in response. Wilson picks himself off the ground and looked down at his splinter filled palm. The fire was lit by Wes, using charcoal he collected from a previous wildfire Willow cause a few days ago. He stares at Wilson, watching Wilson try to pull the splinters out of his palm with his teeth. Wes stops Wilson knowing that that specific attempt wasn't going to work. Removing the gloves off his hands, Wes gets to work on removing the splinters in the hand of the scientist.
"O-ow! Wes! Th-That hurt a little." Wes darted his gaze at Wilson with an apologetic expression. The mime's bare hand reaches out and gently lays his palm on the cold cheek of Wilson's to reassure him. Wilson rests his head against Wes's warm palm. Wilson smiled and chuckled gently. "You are so warm..." Wes's expression changes in pure shock but there was an obvious appearance that he was blushing — even though he has painted blush on his face — over his rosy red cheeks. He snaps out of his thoughts and continues to remove the rest of the wood splinters from Wilson's soft palm. As soon as the splinters were gone, Wes made an action of saying "ta-da" by holding his hands up and wagging them slightly, smiling at Wilson. He chuckles and looks at his palm. "Thank you, Wes. Thank you so much." Wes smiled brightly. Without a warning, Wilson was pulled into a warm mime hug. Wes pecked a little kiss on his head, glad that Wilson is all better. Wilson becomes slightly flustered but he managed to hide it from Wes. "I love you, Wes" There was a pause of silence until Wes finally released Wilson from his tender hug. Wes pointed at himself, made a heart out of his hands, pointed at Wilson, and held up two fingers in response — obviously meaning "I love you too". Wilson planted a kiss on Wes's left rosy cheek while he was distracted by putting his gloves back one. He pressed his cheeks together and gaped his mouth open, dramatically expressing his surprise for Wilson. Wilson laughed and patted Wes on the back gently, trying not to hurt him since Wes is so fragile.
Wilson got up, watching the sun rise from the horizon. Wilson darted his head from left to right to see if anyone has unraveled from the hills, meadows, or forest to return to base. But no one showed up yet. Wilson shrugged it off, looking at Wes. "They will be back sometime soon."
