This is a chapter of the Percabeth reunion. Annabeth' s Yankees cap still works.
The ship docked in the crowd of Romans. I walked off the ship, my head raised high and my spirits even higher.
A girl walked towards me, her eyes carefully watching all of us as we entered the crowd. Her eyes stayed on Jason the longest, and Leo the shortest. She finally reached my eyes, and I noticed the same heroic look as Percy's.
"Annabeth Chase." She said calmly.
"Reyna."
"Why are you here?" A kid screamed at us. He was pail, with dull blonde hair.
"Octavian, Percy told us all about them."
Everybody looked at me weirdly, like I just sprouted wings.
"Who cares what Jackson thinks?!" He yelled.
I gave him a death stare, one that I have given Percy too many times. That shut him right up.
"Where is Percy, any ways?" Jason asked.
"Somewhere you can never find him!" Octavian yelled.
Reyna sighed. "He's in the dining hall over there." She pointed to a giant pavilion. "I need to have a word with Jason. Annabeth, you shall go see Percy if you would like."
"Reyna! You're trusting her alone?! What if she pulls some stunt?! What if she kills Percy?! Not that I'm complaining, but still, what-"
"I can assure you, Octavian, that will not happen. Go ahead Annabeth."

I walked into the dining hall. it looked like camp half bloods area, except bigger and actually had a roof. I immediately heard voices. I pulled out my Yankees cap, and put it on.
"They just docked, Percy!" A pretty girl with dark skin said.
"Yeah! She's out there! I can tell!" A tall Chinese boy said.
Then, I saw him. He was tanner, taller, and... Different. He looked wiser. And he didn't have the gray streak in his hair from when we held the sky. I wanted to scream and leap into his arms. But I held back.
"I know she is. But I just... Can't! I'm afraid she'll hate me!"
"Percy-"
"Hazel, I was gone for two months. I would even hate myself!" He sat at a table, his head in his hands.
"Percy, she wouldn't hate you. From what you describe of her, she sounds nice." The boy said.
"She is. Annabeth is the most wonderful person ever! But... I'm just scared."
I gasped, which was too loud. There heads snapped towards my voice. i covered my mouth with my hand.
"who's there?" the boy asked.
Percy got up, and carefully walked towards me.
I stepped away from him, and ran into a table. bolts of electricity shot through my body from where I had got stabbed months before during Kronos's army. The cap fell off, and Percy and his friends gasped.
"Annabeth?" Percy said, looking dumbfounded.
"that's Annabeth?" the boy asked.
I stared at Percy. I felt betrayed somehow. He poured his feelings out to these two. And he was scared... Of me. I was supposed to be his best friend. And he wasn't supposed to be scared of me! Well, maybe a little bit, but still.
"Annabeth-"
"Why don't you just get away from me, seaweed brain."
"Oh, Frank... I think it's our time to go, I mean... We have to go.... Eat something. C'mon." The girl grabbed the boy's hand, and they raced out the door.
We stared at each other. Finally he said, "what do you mean 'get away from me?'"
"Percy-" my voice cracked. "I used to be your best friend. Now it's them."
His lips parted. "Thats what this is about?"
"Me and Grover and Tyson... And Luke." It stung to say his name. "Those used to be your best friends. Now it's Hazel and Frank."
I sat down on the table seat.
"Annabeth, absolutely nobody could replace you. Because there is only one wise girl for me. And that's you."
My eyes watered. "You said you were scared of me."
"Scared of what you would think of me. I just left you in the dust like that. And I feel awful."
"Well, don't be. I was just tearing my hair out, that's all."
"And I was running away from Gorgons."
I raised an eyebrow. "Really?"
"Yeah." He sat next to me.
"And you... Remember me completely?"
"Annabeth, how could I forget you."
I wiped away the tear that slipped down my face,and threw my arms around him.
"You must have really pissed off Hera." I said into his shoulder.
"I thought that was your thing."
I pressed my forehead against his, and smiled. "Just kiss me already."
Our lips met, and we shared out first kiss in months. Then we heard the explosions.
