I wish we could go back
Back to those simple days
Back to when we didn't need money
When we weren't so worried over relations
Back to those days when we could go outside to have some fun

When we didn't try to hook up
When we didn't try to make up and break up
Those times when relationships weren't deemed "normal" for being dysfunctional

And not be demeaning, but full of care
I wish we were all treated as equals and not as categorized animals
Where everyone felt comfortable being in their own skin and not envy others
Where girls and guys didn't want to try so hard to impress one another
Where looking a certain way wasn't the norm of society
Oh, how I wish for so many things
But sadly, none will come true
Oh boy, how I wish...
