Tomoe's voice and Nanami's Heart

Chapter 5

" I'm home!!!" Nanami called as she entered the gates of the shrine. Then she saw Tomoe sweeping leaves with the saddest look she's seen on his face,

" Tomoe.. Are you ok?" she asked,

" Fine." he said coldly,

" Are you sure nothing's bothering you?" she said gently as she sat down next to him," You're not acting like yourself."

" SHUT UP!!!!!!" he yelled," HOW CAN YOU SIT THERE AND SAY I'M NOT BEING MYSELF YOU HARDLY EVEN KNOW ME!!!!!!!"

" Ok ok I'm sorry.." Nanami started,

" I CAN'T LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!!!" Tomoe kept saying,' But ever since I've started being your familiar there's been nothing but bad luck. Your school, cleaning the shrine, protecting you. One problem after the other."

Now that's what Nanami was most pissed about. He had crossed the line.

" NOW LOOK HERE!!!! I DIDN'T ASK TO HAVE YOU GUARD ME 24/7 SO IF IT'S TOO MUCH TROUBLE... THEN YOU SHOULD QUIT AND FORGET ME!!!!!" Nanami shouted,

" I can't it's my duty to protect you!!!" he shouted back,

" I'm your duty?! What the fuck does that mean?!" Nanami said almost blowing a fuse,

" I think you're tired." Tomoe said totally changing the subject,

" What the hell Tomoe!!! I'm not tired. I'm really worried about you can't you see that?" Nanami said without hope,

" Fine... i got it ok? Why don't go run back to your broke dad now." then it finally hit him and he said something he shouldn't have.

Nanami took one last glance and started running and said," You're so cold!!"

She ran out of the room leaving Tomoe there and bumped into Kurama and Mizuki. They were shoucked to see her. Esspecially since a tear came out of her eye, plus they knew everything that was going on.

Before that...

Earlier Kurama had followed Nanami home and came in about 2 minutes after she entered the back of the shrine. Mizuki welcomed him inside and walked around the halls. Then they heard arguing.

Kurama and Mizuki entered the back porch where Tomoe sat in despear,

" Tomoe!" Kurama shouted and Tomoe looked up to see Kurama pissed. Then he was socked in the stomach and thrown against the wall. Mizuki tried to hold Kurama back knowing how angry they both were, but Kurama pushed Mizuki back,

" What the hell was that for tengu?!" Tomoe asked pissed,

" We overheard you and thought we should drop in and help you head stop swelling from this idea you've got about being a pro that's what!!!!" Kurama shouted,

" Why would I think I'm a pro?!" Tomoe shouted,

" You are despicable Tomoe!!!" Kurama yelled," Just because I told you and Nanami can't be together, you get all depressed and take it out on her. You know it's people like you that become violent youkai and cause trouble for everyone around you. DO... YOU... HEAR... ME??!!"

' That's it Kurama's gone off the deep end.' Mizuki thought to himself,' Even though he's got a point.'

" I didn't take it out on her!!!!" Tomoe yelled back,

" Then what do you call it?!" Kurama shouted," Why'd you make her cry asshole? Think real hard how much that could've hurt her!!!!"

" I-I made her... cry?" Tomoe stuttered,

" I know that it bothers you. But it does happen. Of course you know that!!! Being such a pro." Kurama started," You think you're the only one that cares for her? Don't flatter yourself!!!!! Now go and look for her!!!!!!"

Tomoe started running right when Kurama finished his sentence. He looked through every room but they were all empty,

" Now I know I lost her!!!!" Tomoe said between falling tears,

" NANAMI!!!!!!"
