The Thought of Losing her is Unberable

Chapter 2

Both of them perked up

'Kurama sounds serious' Tomoe thought,' Must be important.'

"Listen I know it might not be true, but if your in love with Nanami, then you shouldn't grow any closer to her." Kurama started,

" Well, one it's not really true and two why?" Tomoe started,

" If the familiar falls in love with the land god, you'll have to stay with them no matter what it takes, but if they mate with them then later in the future then they will be forever bound to them and can't ever leave their side by any means necessary. If you should do that, the land god will die eventually." Kurama explained.

Tomoe sat there shocked knowing he was deeply in love with Nanami, but after he heard that he couldn't even breathe,

' To think Nanami could die by my love for her is just unbearable.' Tomoe thought,

' Thank god I didn't marry her after the contract.' Mizuki thought nearly passing out.

After Kurama got up and left,Tomoe went to Nanami's room to check on her,

" Nanami how are you doing?" he asked as if nothing happened,

" I'm doing ok as of right now." she said practically panting like a dog,

" Anything I can get you?" Mizuki asked,

" Coffee would be nice thanks."  she said as she dashed around the room doing one thing after the other,

" Right away ma'am!!!!" Mizuki shouted as he darted for the kitchen

' It's already 11 o'clock and she's not even half-way done yet.' Tomoe thought," Do you need some help Nanami?" he asked gently,

" No I'm ok just some coffee is good for now. Thanks though!!!" Nanami said after finishing the last of her math," THERE I FINISHED MY MATH!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!! NOW ON TO THE 250 WORD ESSAY!!!!!!" 

Tomoe just stood there in shock,

" I'm back with your coffee that you requested Nanami!!!!" Mizuki called cheerfully,

" OH THANK GOODNESS!!!!!!! THANKS MIZUKI!!!!!!!" Nanami said practically out of breath.

They left her room and did some night cleaning inside the shrine for about 3 hours then, Tomoe came back to Nanami's room to check on her,

" Everything alright Nanam--" right when he was finishing his sentence he found Nanami sleeping on top of a book," Oh, Nanami.. You've been working so very hard tonight..." he said as he lifted her from her chair carefully bridal style then placed her on her bed,

"Goodnight...Nanami..." he whispered quietly as he kissed her forehead,' I can't love her... I just can't... Not after what Kurama told me... I have to be strong...'

He then left her room with tears rolling down his cheeks onto the floor.
