hello, again?

”Do you want eggs and toast?” I hear Eden yell across the dorm.

“Yes and don’t yell we have neighbors.” I groan ias i get out of bed to get ready.

“It’s already ready if you want to eat it before you get ready.” I groan and turn around to walk to the kitchen. Our dorm has a loft and a window bed area. I chose the bed by the window so i felt like i had more room. They say this concept would help us not get “distracted”. We don't care much about that though i was dating tell recently after all… Eden just doesn’t think she is ready for romance yet. We also had a family room kinda area by my bed with a tv and other typical stuff. Our bathroom was your average bathroom and was on the opposite side of the dorm from our beds. The kitchen was by the front door so there is the outline. Our dorm is pretty big and we both have full scholarships. This is because apparently we got the best scores from our school or whatever. I don’t really care about that too much, i'm in school and i’m learning that's what matters to me.When i denied the school because it was too far from home the school basically begged me to go here.

    Anyhow i walk across the dorm to the bathroom and took a shower and changed, all the essential stuff. I walk out of the bathroom in lazy lounge wear because I was planning on nothing all day.

“We need to go to th- wh, what is she doing here?”

“Oh, i saw the business card on the fridge and called it since you said how you ran into a girl, you need more friends, anyhow i called him and invited her, she said yes as you can see.”

“Hi, Maven right?” she seeked something in me, I can tell by her face but i’m not sure what.

“Ya and your name is Erin if im correct.”

“Ya, so tell me about yourself,” She started to ask questions about me and i would return with questions about her until she asked ,”What’s your relationship with your family like?”

“Ahhh, They don’t really talk to me unless they need to, last month for example, I was staying with them while i was back in town for my girlfriend's funeral.”

“Oh i'm sorry, that may have been a little personal of a question.”

“No,no it’s fine I need to get over it, after I came out as gay they stopped talking to me since i was going to collage a few states away soon after. They never really got over it and for a while they were verbally abusive, they are more violent now since they made me go to college across the country. When my girlfriend died i didn’t hear the end of it from them,”im so sorry if it weren't for us you would have been here for her” I is kinda annoying. As for my girlfriend dying I don’t really know the whole story, from what i got told she committed suicide but nothing else.”

“I’m still sorry for your loss.”

“So what about you what is your family like?”

“My parents are constantly wanting me to come home.  I always get out of visiting though. My family constantly visits my parents which include my homophobic unkle. When i came out he started to tell me id go to hell and all this stuff. He hurts me mentally, I guess you could say he abuses me. We can't do anything though because he is a politician. Thanksgiving and christmas is terrible with everyone constantly getting into arguments. I just decide to avoid them as much as possible.”

“Oh, um i’m sorry you shouldn’t have to go through that. No one deserves to go through that.”I say puzzled.

“I agree I’m sorry for both of you.” Eden interrupted because she got back.

We start to share our thoughts and talking to each other.
