14 : Back At It Again

True to his word, my face was still the same, expressionless as ever.

"Hyung, I and my friends will stay on the side, just in case you're that rusty," Dino muttered, looking down at his feet.

Mina and I just chuckled "Awww, do you really think your hyung would lost?"

"It's just in case, ok?"

"Thank you for everything really. We appreciated it," Mina reached her hand out, ruffling Dino's hair.

"After you helped me with all of my homework and teaching me, this is the least I could do," Dino smiled then bowed to us and all of us went back to our own class.

(Chaeyoung's POV)

I sat down at my table, waiting for the lesson to start, and, well, waiting for (Y/n) and Mina as well.

For the past few weeks, three of them were really good to me, hanging out and helping me get through my stuff. For once, I felt like I have a family. The family that actually take care of me. Nothing like my--

"Hey, Chae. Sorry for the wait. Did the teacher come already?" (Y/n) tapped me on the shoulder then sitting on his chair next to me, interrupting my own thought, which I really don't care about it that much.

"Nah, I think she would come late today,"

"That's great. Call me when the teacher arrived, OK?" (Y/n) said then picking up a fiction book from his bag, plugging in his earphone and went into his own world.

He always did this whenever he had a chance to do. It usually was a problem for him because when he did this, he almost completely lost contact of the real world, utterly lost in his own mind. But since I was here, I always be there to snap him out of it. He wouldn't stop thanking me for it, really.

Another thing I like about (Y/n) is the fact that instead of trying to be more popular, he's just doing this. I believed he would be more popular if he had tried to do so. However I already asked him about it, and he simply replied with "I don't really want to be this popular but the student here just kinda push me into this spot after what I did,"

I was curious about what he did to get to this point but wasn't really bothered by it. It's his personal information after all, and if he wants to tell me, he could have said it to me already.

I took a glance at the door and saw the teacher walking in, I then tapped his wrist, signaling him that the teacher was coming.

The teacher was starting the class immediately. Oh boy, this was going to be a long morning period till the lunch break.

[12:00 AM]

It was finally time for a much-deserved break after the class. I was walking down the hallway with (Y/n) to the cafeteria. At first, for some reason, he didn't want me to go with him but I kept persisting until he just accepted it. Judging by the look of him right now, he didn't seem bothered by it at all.

We were walking down the hallway pass (Y/n)'s locker. When we got closer to it, I heard rapid footsteps coming from behind me. They were consistent, seem like someone was running and I could feel that it was coming toward us. I turned my back to look who it was but I could only see the blurry figure tackled (Y/n) into the locker. For the moment, I swore I saw a mischievous smile plastered on (Y/n) before it quickly disappeared.

That person was Minjoon, who was pinning (Y/n) down to the locker. I heard the sound of the other student gasping and talking to one another. I then looked around and saw students forming into a circle around us and a bunch of students was walking to us as well.

"Do you think you better than me, huh??" Minjoon shouted at (Y/n), who kept looking down at his feet.

(Y/n) looked up to Minjoon, staring into his eye, "Yes, I think you're a fucking idiot and a dumbass, Minjoon," (Y/n) replied and sneered at Minjoon, earning a punch in the stomach.

"What now, Mister popular???"

Minjoon repeatedly punched (Y/n) in the stomach, again and again, making him groan out in agony. Minjoon then grabbed (Y/n)'s head and slammed it into the locker; the sound hard object hitting the locker was echoing throughout the silent hallway.

I slowly backed away from the scene, blending into the crowd. I then heard a faint giggle from my right, so I turned around and saw a girl, smiling and laughing to herself, beside her was a group of male students; the leader of the group is the student name, Dino. He was younger than me and I knew from someone that he is close with (Y/n), Mina and Jihyo as well.

*Thud*

I heard the sound of someone falling hard on the floor. I looked back to the two who were fighting, hoping that (Y/n) wasn't the one who was falling, and much to my happiness, it wasn't (Y/n) but instead Minjoon was the one who lay on the floor, holding his stomach and growling in pain.

Again, I heard a giggle from my right but this time it was from a boy, not a girl. I took a quick glance and saw Dino grinning from ear to ear. This, somehow piqued my curiosity so I looked around to see what other people reacting to this. My glance was sweeping across the hall, to see what look was on their face right now, and to my surprise, most of them were smiling and grinning, some were wider than others but nonetheless, they were amused by this.

"You're weaker than I thought, Minjoon," (Y/n) said coldly, stretching and cracking his finger one by one.

What did you exactly do in the past, (Y/n)? Now I'm really curious about it.

Hi, my dear reader. Sorry for not updating for a long time.

Thanks you for almsot 3k read and a lot of follower, really.

This is going to be a little bit of rant but... I'm kinda sad when I read other authors work and they have more read than me eventhough they only wrote it for a few month.

Amd here I am, over 8-9 month and only 3k...

It's not like I hate those authors or not appreciate what I have right now.

But maybe, maybe, my work is really bad? My first few chapters suck? Or perhaps this is just boring book over all?

I feel like I want to improve more and more but sometimes it just really hard.

Sorry about the rant. I think the most logical reason here, it just I rarely upload this book.

I'm greatful for any vote or read I got and feel happy about it. Don't let my rant above tell you otherwise.
