"But what would happen to you?" he whispered, tears ready to spill. "Why does my life matter more than yours?"
"If you hurt a human, you'd get arrested and torn apart," Jamie replied, "You'd be made an example of, against the revolution. They'd use this against your kind."
"But if I don't, you'd get hurt," he argued.
Jamie opened her eyes, and for a moment, all he could see was her face. She was smiling something weak, something sad and fake. Perhaps she could use this situation to her advantage.
"A few bruises, that's all," Jamie stated.
A few bruises? No, Connor would not settle for a few bruises on her. Even one was too many. He tried to step towards Jamie, but the red blinking lights fogged his eyes.

He got upset looking at her, watching as that one tear you had shed reached her jawline and travelled down her neck. He gave the code a hard punch, putting every ounce of strength he had. He slammed it, pushing and shoving with all his might before the red walls between Jamie and him broke down.
Connor didn't waste any time, running towards the man and giving him a good punch, causing the man to reel backwards and fall to the ground. The man she'd called Harry made eye contact with Connor and began to push himself backwards.
Connor's face was twisted with rage, and it was terrifying. Never had something normally so beautiful looked so murderous.
"Goddamn it." The man got his bearings and ran, ran as far as he could away from the two.
Connor turned to look back at Jamie.
Her face... there was something about it. Aside from the tear rolling down, nothing had changed, but Connor noticed, truly noticed every hollow of her face, every part that would glisten in the sun. Her eyes gleamed and shone. Everything besides her was out of focus, she was the only thing that mattered.
Her smile blinded Connor as she stepped towards him with an increased pace, wishing desperately to have him in her arms. She embraced him tightly, not allowing Connor enough space to breath let alone think, before she pulled away.
"You're a deviant now," Jamie muttered, and Connor smiled.
'It was all for you. I did it all for you.'
She cupped his face with her hands again, and his face flushed a soft, baby blue. He softly placed his hands on top of hers, lingering for a moment or two, before pulling them down and using his grip to bring Jamie closer, allowing him to kiss her forehead.
His lips brushed against her skin as he spoke, "I'm just happy you're safe."
They both stood there for a moment before he spoke again, daring himself to make eye contact with her.
"Your ex-partner, he said that I could never feel something for you... he couldn't be farther from the truth."
Jamie's face turned into a smile before reciprocating his words, and pulling his face towards hers. His eyes fluttered closed in tandem with her. Their lips moved together in a slow dance.
Jamie felt like she had just been drugged, she felt as though Connor's lips were addicting. Connor for sure could taste her lips, and they tasted like cherries. As she moved in tandem with each other, they both released everything she felt into the kiss, and when she pulled away, nothing else seemed to matter.
"I think I see the pleasure humans get out of kissing," Connor stated, smiling. Her hands still lay on his chest, and his still on her cheeks.
A cherry blossom fell and landed right on top of her head, and Connor used his hand to gently grab it. He felt the soft texture of the pink flower between his index finger and his thumb and stared at every little detail. Whereas before he would've only seen facts, he saw beauty in a small flower that was just the size of his thumb.
He looked up at Jamie and saw that she were smiling at the flower. "Beautiful, isn't it?" Jamie asked, eyes finally flickering up to meet his.
"It's gorgeous. I never thought I could be so enchanted by something so small. Being a deviant is more wonderful than I could've imagined.
"I wonder, was being depressed similar to being a non-deviant android?" he asked.
"I'm not sure. It is similar in the way that I didn't see the beauty in everything, and once I learned to control it, the saturation in life seemed just a bit higher," Jamie responded.
"I'm glad I can see the full potential of everything now. I never realized how many freckles you had, the gleaming whiteness of your teeth when you smile or how your eyes are such a brilliant shade of blue.
"Even things I thought couldn't get more beautiful, did."
