The constant ticking.

Falling down a deep dark hole

Once again...

A nightmare,

woke up with a sweat.

The walls start to pour over my soul like I was in a painting.

Again... That ticking sound

the ceiling starts to drip

the most horrible sounds are coming from the cellar

persistent and unhuman,

when I start to get closer, it immediately stops.

The stairs become a tight rope,

my fear of heights escalated quickly,

Turning my heartbeat into something nonhuman.

The rope is becoming more narrow.

I try my best to get across.

I look back from where I stand,

no turning back now.

I lose my balance.

I start to fall down a dark hole into the abyss,

Once again...

I wake up out of breath with a pain in my shoulder.

The sun is beating down on my face.

I can feel sweating dripping off my back.

I get up and look around.

Such a beautiful place.

I see a young deer and it's mother playing in the long green grass.

Up ahead there are birds flying every which way.

All of a sudden the birds disappeared.

The deer are gone without a trace.

All animals were gone,

to the point where all that was left,

was me.

The sky turned a horrible black color.

Tree branches rustled behind me,

the dark forest had yellow eyes,

as I turned around figures started to approach me.

Wolves.

Their eyes gleamed a ferocious yellow color.

I run into the forest.

I can hear the pitter-patter of raindrops on my hoodie.

Once again my heartbeat turns into...

Oh gosh, they are really close.

I can't hear them.

Wake up. Wake up.

This is all just a dream.

I stop running.

Silence.

I see one of the wolves, yet it isn't a wolf at all.

I wake up instantly.

I wake up instantly, drenched in sweat.

I walk to the kitchen and pour myself a cup of coffee.

It's still dark outside.

"Max! Come here!"

The tiny pup comes up to me.

I pick him up and turn on the TV.
