In a panic I thought of something to say just to keep him here a bit longer. "Alec's getting married!" I yelled out suddenly, he wiped around stunned. "What?" he asked in disbelief. "I said, Alec's is getting married."

"With whom?"

"Magnus Bane high warlock of Brooklyn. The wedding is next month." He burst out laughing.

"You want me to believe that Alec, Alexander Gidion Lightwood is getting married with MAGNUS BANE!" He said still laughing. "It's true," I pulled out my phone and handed it to him. "Call him yourself." He stared at me as if id grown a second head. "Fine I'll call him."

-

Alec and I had just returned demon hunting when Alec's phone started to ring."Hello?"

I couldn't make out the voice of whoever had called, I sent Alec a questioning look.
"Cecily." he mouthed. Cecily was a new shadow hunter. She had refused to give her last name, she came claming that she had no family and wanted to train.
A moment later Alec asked. "Cecily did you hit yourself in the head? Yes, I'm getting married next month."
Alec frowned at the phone signalling that she had abruptly hung up.
"The hell was that about?"I asked.

He shruged "I have no idea."

-

"See? Also Izzy's engaged and Jace is planning on proposing."

Nico chuckled. "Now what, is Max with a girlfriend?" he joked.
I pessed my lips together in a thin line. "Max....he-he's dead. Hes been dead for years."

Nico's eyes widen "W-what?"
"We've through war Nico. And he was killed, Izzy blames herself and she hasn't been the same."

He frowned. "He was only, what nine?"
I nodded solemnly.

After telling Nico about Max's death was brought to the big house with Nico to explain what just happened.

We weren't alone a boy with raven black hair and sea green eyes and a girl with blond hair and intense calculating gray eyes where also with us.

"Percy. Annabeth." Nico nodded at them. I noticed the sweet kindness in his voice when he stated the other boys name and the bitterness in the girl. It took me a minute to realize but when I did I was angry and I stood up. "Bloody hell Nico," I screamed.

"It's true isn't it? All the things they said about you, aren't they." Nico was unfaced that I had just yelled at him.

"So, if they're true why would you care?"
I looked at him astonished. "Of course I would care you're my...." the words were stuck in my mouth I had never ever called him my brother before.

"I'm your what? the word you never called me and you still can't?" He spat at me. My vision blured as tears brimed my eyes, I realized that Nico was not going to do about it, and I got angry again. "Sh- she was right!" I screamed much to his surprise. "Who?"

"You bloody well know whom! And she was right these...these people have sucked the love right out of you. You've changed Nico now you wear all black, you never smile, you act as if you don't care anymore." I looked up at his harsh eyes.

"And even if I've never called you that, you still are and always will be my older brother."
