"Shut up Lauren, there they are" I say pointing at 'Luke' and his friend "god do you reckon they've seen us? No? Maybe we could still run away. I don't wanna do this any more" I say as I start getting nervous, I mean I was so confident and flirty and all that when we were texting and now I'm just plain old boring me and that's not good
"No. We are not walking away from this now.. You have to do this! Plus his friend looks quite fit so..."
"Wow. Lauren. Always thinking of others right?!"
"Course I am babes, now c'mon let's go! I wanna meet fit guy number 2!"
"..um..hi.." I mumble, wow, I always have to be so socially amazing don't i (note that was sarcasm right there)
"You came! ..I mean..I knew you would come..um.."
"Hi Luke" I laugh, well at least he's as bad as me
"So.. What's your name?" He asks
"...I don't know... Um.. Yeah.. Sorry.. I.. Uh.. I do know my name.. It's.. Uhh.. It's.."
"Sorry about her, she's Mackenzie and I'm Lauren.. I'm the friend that she brought, and yours is..?" Lauren says, wow she's subtle isn't she
"Right, um hi Mackenzie, hi Lauren, this is Mikey.. He's the friend that I brought, just incase you were a crazy weirdo that goes round kissing people in the middle of fields.." He feebly jokes... And I laugh really hard... I don't know what's gotten in to me..! Well except the really fit guy in front of me who I kissed last night so urm..
"Do you guys urm get a drink then or something?" Luke asks
"Yes! I mean.. Uh.. Yeah if you want to" I mumble
"Okay then! Let's go!" He says leading the way to costa
"What do you two want?" Luke asks me and Lauren
"Uhh.. Two original iced lemonades please?" I say as Lauren nods
"Uhhhh.. Can I have four of those then please?" He says to the cash lady as I think what the hell am I doing, letting a guy I don't know buy me a drink
"Uh excuse us, just going to the toilet" I say pulling Lauren away from them and into the toilets
"LAUREN WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING? THEY COULD BE PLANNING TO KIDNAP US OR SOMETHING! WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!"
"Woah, woah, woah, woah, calm down Mac... Their not gonna kidnap us, Luke seems really sweet and well he's just as socially awkward as you are.. Your perfect for each other, he looks like he wouldn't hurt a fly!"
"Fine Luke seems nice enough but what about that Michael, he hasn't said a word to me the whole time we've been here and that queue was really long!"
"Mikey seems a bit like an idiot to be honest but I don't think he's harmful either, you worry to much Mac, plus remember Luke has your number.. If we disappear now he'll text you and probably be really confused.. Remember I'm here so if we get into anything we'll be together, c'mon pull your self together we can do this!"
"Okay okay okay.. But if we get abducted I'm blaming you!"
"Fine, blame me if we get abducted whatever.. Let's go!"
"You two alright now?!" Luke asks
"Yeah.. Sorry.. Um.. Yeah were good now" I mumble, GAHH why?!
"What even was that, bit weird though.." Michael says
"Shut up Michael" Luke whispers
"Just saying who goes running off to the toilets without an explanation or anything.. Bit weird"
"Oh just shut the hell up will you dude! I've only just met you but from where I'm standing you kind of seem like a jerk no offence and all but..." Lauren bursts out
"Your a good one to talk about being a jerk, oh and putting no offence behind something offensive makes absolutely no difference to what your saying" he says using one of Lauren's favourite things to say to someone who insults her
"Fine. Fine. Fine. Well then I won't even say no offence this time, you are a jerk and I don't have to deal with this so I'm gonna go.. You coming Mac?" She asks me
"Uhh.. Yeah.. Sorry Luke.. Uhh.. I'll text you.. Maybe.. Uh.. Bye.."
"Bye..."
"Lauren what the hell was that back in there? I mean yeah he was being a jerk but it was you who told me to pull myself together if I remember rightly and me and Luke were having a good time until you and Mikey ruined it!" I burst
"Well I'm sorry if I ruined your little date, it was you that asked me to come anyway and yeah I'm glad you noticed that Mikey was being a massive jerk because he was and he's an idiot and I hate him"
"Chill out.. He was being a bit of a jerk but not a massive one, plus you only just met him how can you hate him? He probably was just having a bad day or something.. C'mon let's go home I'm so tired!"
