Forced to go to my stupid family vacation again. People say I'm lucky that I get to go to a private island every summer. I see what they mean, but there's really nothing private about it. My family brings each and every relative for 'bonding time'. Don't get me wrong I love them, but seeing my entire family when I go for a morning jog kinda sucks. There's no one to hang out with but my little seven-year-old cousin. Ya, he's cute, but sometimes I just need someone my own age to hang out with. There's only one other family on the island, and I have met all of them. Still not a single person my age. Or so I thought.

I didn't really pay attention to the newcomer on the island that appeared this summer because he looked so much younger than I was. I didn't need to get stuck babysitting another one of the Cowell's teenagers who think they're depressed just because they couldn't go to the Khalid concert last month cause "Daddy was saving up for a new jet." I tried to ignore the new boy but something about him kept begging to be discovered. I figured the perfect time to introduce myself was at the dinner that we held at the beginning of the summer between both of our families. (Cowell's and Tomlinson's)

I walked up to the new boy and we quickly hit it off. I could already tell that this summer was going to different than the rest. I finally had someone to chill with. I soon learned that this new kids' name was Harry Styles and he was 18, which made him 2 years younger than me. He was not related to the Cowells but his mom has recently passed and he was just trying to clear his mind. The Cowell's had offered to take him in for the summer. We sat next to each other during dinner and decided to hang out on the beach afterward to get to know each other a little better. After all, we would be spending the summer together. The longer I talked to Harry, the more I noticed. His floppy brown hair and emerald eyes were absolutely astonishing. His tattoos scattered about his arms were works of art. The way he fidgeted with his hands as he talked. The most amazing thing about this boy was how much he cared about making the world a better place. He must have all the girls where he lives all over him. There's no way he could be single. Wait a minute. Why do I care?

The Cowell's island. It was nice of them to let me come with them for the summer. My family has been longtime friends with the Cowells and when my mom passed away, the only right thing in their minds to do was to let me come with them to their private island over the summer. I figured I'd just stay on the beach considering there's no one my age in their family. That WAS my plan, at least, until I actually got on the island.

The Cowell's hadn't told me they shared the island with another family. Great. I really didn't want to be around anyone else this summer. I would just like to be alone on the beach with my thoughts, books, and song lyrics. Oh yeah, I write songs. My mom was the only person who knew. Now, not a single person on the earth knows and I'd prefer to keep it that way. I like to think that I can sing too, but I've never actually sung in front of anyone. Anyways, the other family on the island--the Tomlinson's.

When I was being introduced at dinner, a certain boy caught my eye. Another thing only my mom knew about me--I'm gay. You wouldn't be able to tell be looking at me just 'cause I wear skinny jeans and have tattoos all over. Surprisingly, the boy came up to me first (that never happens) and introduced himself as Louis. He had light brown hair and deep sea eyes. Like parts of the ocean that were yet to be discovered. He was beautiful. He looked strong yet soft. Kind of like a teddy bear. I tried to come off cool. At this point in my life, I've been pretty good at hiding my gay self, but I'm not sure I'll be able to for long around Louis Tomlinson.

After dinner, we went and talked on the beach. I figured now was too early to tell him I was gay, so I let Louis do most of the talking. Man. He has such a gorgeous voice. We're all from the UK but his accent seemed to be thicker then anyone else here. Adorable. I can't believe I'm already falling for this guy. I just met him today and I have a whole summer on an island with him ahead of me. This is going to be harder than I thought.
