The Earth around me was dry, and filled in a void of solitude and loneliness. Suddenly, there was a heating to my skin, and as I itched and itched I noticed I was developing a rash. I kept scratching so the vile thing could disappear from my arm. Almost instantly, I began to suffocate and beads of sweat trickled down my forehead.

I woke up in my bed, breathing hard and sweating, realizing it was all a dream. I got up and made a phone call to a local diving store and asked if there was any recent boats in which I could book in order to take a swim in the water. They offered me the most recent one, which was in 45 minutes.

I packed all of the necessary equipment that was needed, and called my Aunt to tell her where I was headed. When I got to the dock there was two women and three boys packed and ready to leave. While we were swimming out to their favorite spot I did not notice how much trash was in the water. I shrugged it off thinking that the environment was capable of cleaning itself, like a body does a human.

They made sure my equipment was all safe, and as I fell back into the water a whole wave of plastics was pushed onto my body. I swam under trying to avoid the plastic, but it was as if I could not escape. All around there was trash, and slowly I saw a manta ray swimming by. He was moving ridiculously slow, and a growing concern overtook me, making me worry if this poor creature was sick.

I did not realize how far I swam away from the boat so I stopped to take a look around and reflect on the impact my species had in this environment. Everywhere humans were not only taking the homes of creatures, but their lives. Some day, no matter how we look at it, it will come back to us. Whether in the food we eat, or the ocean we swim in.

I then resurfaced and joined my crew on the boat. They explained to me that they would usually have several other places to dive in, but recently due to the amount of trash residing in the water, they were forced to switch locations. They were trying to start a movement in order to clean the waters and to try to prevent it from becoming into this drastic state again.

I then jumped in the water again, but this time I did not wear any protection. As I was floating in the ocean the gloomy state of the ocean hit me, and for a second it felt as if I could not breath. I felt a rash forming on my arm, and for a second I knew exactly how the creatures felt.
