Radio Silence

I remember what I first thought when I arrived here. I thought this was where I could be a hero of my people, leading my people against humanity that tried to extinguish our internal fire. A young boy who emerged to the media as an accident, the boy from an interrogation room who killed the officers who arrested me.

They all said, humanity and my people, that I had a lot of spunk. When my people accepted me into their program that was hidden to all humanity, I thought of battles and glory.

I was wrong, I was given a mentor who I was instructed to call Master Plytus. I was made into his apprentice and I adapted into the name the media gave me.

Radio Silence.

I wore my white cloak with pride, the symbol apprenticeship. Plytus trained me, in combat and in science. His training room was amazing. One of my favorite part was the Radiation Room. Plytus and I had similar powers and one of the similarities was that our body obtained radiation. We always make sure that we don't carry too much to harm others. We release the excess radiation in the Radiation Room and we store it in case of war.

Back then, I was a little more cheery, a little more unaware of how serious this all was. Carefree. Free.

It was during my first battle when I realized the horrors of war on both sides. I watched people burn, get shot, get stabbed, and I took a part in it. I can see why Elites can be dangerous and I fear what the strongest of my people can do.

Plytus said that's why the young are trained. We need to be watched, as though we were little children again. We need to be taught how to control ourselves and our powers. It's necessary, it would make us safer and more accepted.

The Hiddens was only one branch of our people, the other one was under developed. We call them the E.F, the Elithian Force. These are the Elites who unlike the Hiddens, were imprisoned in their lives and managed to escape. They are thirsty for revenge. The leaders of both branches don't agree. The E.F wants to go on a killing spree and burn down all the Institutions, while the Hiddens are more logical, focusing more on understanding and strategic plans.

Plytus told me all of this before I could set out in my own. When I was 18, I graduated from apprenticeship. I still talk to my old instructor, tell him what's going on in my life time to time.

I'm just too focused now.

Tomorrow, a group of young Elites accepted into the apprenticeship program, and I among others, will become a Master. There is also a new addition to the program, the Allies.

The Allies are humanity, they sign up to train with us and be on our side. It will take a load of trust for me to like them. Considering I'll most likely have to take one in when I receive my apprentice.

I can't believe I get to train others. I still remember my apprentice days and I admit that I miss them. Time moves on, it never waits for you.

I'm not against humanity, they are just hard to trust, as we are to them. I've watched my comrades get killed by them, I've torn their limbs and stabbed their bodies. Us and humanity, are opposites, yet the same.

We're all evil, in a world where no one is good.
