Another day, another dollar I guess. As I wake up, I check my phone and proceed to get out of bed. But first let me tell you a little about me. My name is Alexis. Alexis Gardener. I am 19 years old, fresh out of high school, but I am working on going to college. Of course I still stay with my mother, which me and her does not have the best relationship a mother and daughter should have. My dad on the other hand, loves me, and me and his relationship is very strong.
I do have a best friend named Lavender. Me and her have been friends for a very long time. We pretty much grew up together. I am always about the money. I do have a little job that I do not always like. But hey at least it's a start. I am working on moving out of my mothers house very soon.
And in case if anyone was wondering, yes I do have a boyfriend. His name is Deontae or Deon for short. We've been together for a year. My mother nor father does not like him one bit because They think he's a thug. Growing up in Atlanta you have to have tough skin. I don't consider my boyfriend a thug though, I just look at it as him not tolerating bullshit.
Anyways, enough about me, like I was saying... I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to get my day started. "Alex I'mma need you to go to the store later on today and get groceries" my mom said peeking into the bathroom. "Sure, did you make me a list?" "You don't need no damn list. Hell ain't no food in here so you should already know what to get" My mom snapped
She sometimes has a lil fonky ass attitude that I don't like, but it is what it is. Like I said, our relationship isn't the best. I roll my eyes and walk back to my room to check my phone. "Wow, 3 missed calls" I said to myself. I called my boyfriend back and he answered on the first ring
Deon: Yooo
Me: Hey baby
Deon: Wassup witchu? It's 12:00 you just now waking up?
Me: yeah I was up all night, watching movies and shit
Deon: Yeah I feel you, but look doe, you tryna come chill with a nigga today or sum? I ain't seen you in a week
Me: I mean, I guess I can, I ain't Really got nothing else to do besides go grocery shopping for my mother. But once I get done with that I'll probably slide thru
Deon: Ya Ight, just HMU or sum when you finna come
Me: alright
Deon: Love you

It low-key irritates me when he says "love you" instead of "I love you" but moving on. I still feel tired so I decided to lay back down. Damn I just woke up and already finna take a nap. "I thought you was getting ready to go?" My mom said busting in my room "I mean, I am still a little bit tired but I was hoping I could leave out for a while before I leave" I say. " well in case you didn't hear me the first time, I said there wasn't any food in this house, and I really am hungry, and I would really appreciate if you get your ass up and just go get the groceries" my mom snapped again.
I smacked my teeth and got up out of bed. "I know you ain't smack yo lips at me girl" my mama said "I'm not"
I put some clothes on and got my car keys. "Dad, I'm going to the Store do you need anything?" I said peeking into his room. "Nah baby girl I'm good gone ahead"
So finally I walked out the door and got in my car. I turned on Ride by Baby Fendi and blasted that thru the speakers as I drove to Walmart which was just up the street. "Hopped out my feelings, then I hopped in my bag, you fuck with that lame bitch, you going out sad" i sang along.
When I finally arrived, I got up the car, and walked up front to give me a buggy. "Oh my God hey bitchh!" I heard someone say. And I know we can only be the one and only, my best friend Morgan. (In picture below)

"hey girl how did you know I was going to be here" I said laughing and then bring her into a hug.
"Whew Chile, it's hot out here, but I didn't know. Like I thought that was your car I seen but I told myself I was tripping, but girl what you hear for?" Morgan said
"Shit, just about to buy these damn groceries that my mother keeps egging me about" I said "I feel you, she still be on yo ass huh?" "Yes, she always has an attitude towards me but I don't know what I did to her" I shrugged "It'll get better. I'm here to buy some condoms cause I'm getting my freak on tonight" Morgan said hitting a lil twerk
"Girl with who?" " I can't tell you all that he's a mystery man" she said winking her eye "Yeah okay. Have fun tonight" I said laughing
My best friend can sometimes be a little whore. But I guess I'm supposed to support her. Sometimes I don't like the decisions she makes, but I have to play along with it, cause no matter what I see or do I can't convince her to do the right thing.
