Chapter 6

“You know wetin you suppose do abi?” Yusuf asked his accomplice Paul Chima; a cleaner at Clover Publishing.

“Of course” He replied, strapping the home- made bomb around him. “Where’s Bola?” Yusuf asked, looking for him.

“Taking care of the husband, baba don see the thing”

Yusuf chuckled “it’s even too late for them”. At that point, his phone rang.

“Hello Maryam, bawo ni ma...oh she’s not at home abi? She must be at work …don’t worry, it’s too late” he laughed “You’ve done your job well… yes, your 500,000 naira? Forget that one mama, you don't need money naa” he then hung up

“She really thought we were going to pay her, naïve old woman” they all joined in Yusuf’s laughter.

"The woman no get sense sef, person wey she work for for 6 years, she come betray..." one started

"For common 500,000" another added, laughing and more laughter followed.

“Oya, lets go" its time Yusuf ordered.

After months of planning, he had everything planned to the letter. From the idea of blowing up the airport with Mrs Adams in it to framing Jumoke. It wasn't his intention to implicate Jumoke, but the other members of his team had the majority; they all had the opinon she won't be smart enough to figure it out.

With each person performing a task, they had put implicating evidences around her house and work space with the plans of having her take the fall for their operation as the leader. And it made perfect sense to them as she was so close to the boss, conveniently so.

As for his target, he hated nobody more than his boss, Mrs Adams. And many other workers in Clover publishing shared the same feeling. She had no regard to others and never watched her tongue, saying things that employers shouldn't say to their employees and was highly inconsiderate would've resigned if not for the pay he was getting.

His intention was initially to blow up the firm itself with her in it but when more oppressed workers from different publishing firms and businesses joined his squad, he made bigger plans.

By aiming for the international airport, he was going to make a big statement,so far Adams went down with the other employers set to be in the airport that day he was fine. Even if the operation would cost him his life.
