"Ugh, I hope this student teacher isn't as big of a dick as the last one," Victoria huffed. Her light, bouncy curls were clouding around her head and no matter how hard she tried, she could never blow them out of her face.
"No!" Kayla yelled, suddenly excited about something, " I heard he's really hot!" She was jumping up and down as they reached the only road they had to cross. Victoria looked both ways before she rolled her eyes at her friend. Kayla had said the same exact thing about the last student teacher, and Caleb, or Mr. Green, as he liked to be addressed, was indeed attractive but also a total snob.
"You always say that," Victoria groaned as they started walking across the icy road. There weren't any cars coming, thank goodness, but the pair always took their time crossing the slippery path. They had seen too many fall.
"I know, I know!" Kayla smiled, "but this one actually is!"
Victoria looked at her strawberry blonde friend with a look of doubt. As she studied Kayla's features, she saw that her cheeks were a light shade of pink, showing just how cold it was outside. Kayla was from the South, and although she didn't have an annoying accent, she wasn't acclimated to the weather like Victoria was.
"He is!" Kayla pouted, crossing her arms to show off her matching scarf, mittens and hat. They were all blue and white, a nice accent to her almost-red hair. "Just you wait and see!"
Victoria stifled a laugh as Kayla hooked arms and basically dragged her roommate to their music theory class. The building wasn't that far away from their dorm, but they had left early for this exact purpose, whether Victoria knew it or not. The truth was that Kayla knew the student teacher well because there were in German 101 together (Kayla didn't know how a junior was in a freshmen class either) and they were actually paired up for a few projects together.
"His name is Chris," Kayla mumbled. She was trying to be as discreet as possible, but Victoria had already caught on. "Just give him a chance?"
"Who says he won't be a good teacher?" Victoria asked, playing dumb. She knew exactly what Kayla was getting at but she wanted her to say it. Maybe then she would hear how foolish it sounded.
Kayla only whined though. She took no pleasure in trying to fight with Victoria. She always lost. Even when she was right, Victoria somehow proved her wrong. Kayla always blamed it on how they were raised. After all, Victoria's mom was a lawyer.

The whole room was swarming with whispers. All of the girls in the class, besides the ones who weren't attracted to men of course, were admiring the new student teacher. He was wearing a white button-up, a black tie, black dress pants, and a pair of black oxford shoes. His sleeves were rolled up, the perfect formula to make a girl swoon. Even Victoria caught her self stealing a glimpse every once in a while.
"So can you admit I'm right now?" Kayla chimed, leaning in so only Victoria could hear her. Kayla had an evil grin on her face as she waited for her dear friend to concede.
"Nope."
"Alright class," Professor June came in. Her hair was cut in a bob, a refreshing look for her. It made her look happier, though, that might also be due to her new engagement. That's why she was leaving and putting Chris in charge. "This is Christopher Bang," she motioned towards him standing with a shy smile on his face.
"Mr. Bang," one of the girls behind Victoria and Kayla snickered with her friends. Victoria couldn't help but roll her eyes, some people were so childish.
