He gave you a thumbs up and replied:

"That's right!"

"What are you doing here?"

"To protect you, duh."

You giggled at your friend's antics.

"Yeah?"

"Yup, I'll be by your side, okay?" Takao ruffled your hair and gave you one of the grins you loved. "I won't let anyone have you."

"Huh?"

He coughed and said:

"Uh, I mean, I won't let anyone capture you. Yeah, that's what I mean."

You crossed your arms and shook your head.

"Guys these days.. They don't even know what their saying."

"Did ya say something, (nickname)-chan?" Takao asked, confused at your mumbling.

"Huh? Um, no." You looked away, blushing.

"Why's (nickname)-chan red? Is she blushing?" Takao playfully poked your cheek.

"W-What? O-Of course not!" You pushed away his hand.

"Oh! Look! I found Shin-chan number two!"

"Hey! Now that's just insulting!" You covered up your cheeks that turned even rosier.

"Tsundere! Tsundere!"

"Taka-chan! Stop it! I'm not a tsundere!"

"Denial, denial! Whatever you say, (nickname)-chan~ But in my mind, you're still one~!"

"Stop comparing me to Mido-nii! I'm not like him at all!" You huffed.

"Do tsunderes run in your family? 'Cause you and Shin-chan are totally tsunderes."

"Takao! What are you doing?!" Another voice interjected.

There stood your older brother, Midorima.

"Oh, Shin-chan! You're here!" Takao said.

"Be quiet, Takao— And don't call me that." Midorima shot a glare at Takao, then looked at you. "Did this idiot do anything to you?"

"Hey!"

"No, Mido-nii, I'm okay." You said, looking up at your brother.

"Are you sure?"

"Nah, Taka-chan insulted me."

"What?!" Takao cried.

Midorima's mood darkened.

"Takao.."

The said boy gulped.

"Yes...?"

Midorima lunged at tako, trying to beat Takao up.

"(nickname)-chan! Save me!" Takao shouted.

"Apologize! NOW!" Midorima yelled.

"I'm so sorry, (nickname)-chan!"

Your older brother stopped chasing after Takao and looked at you for your approval of Takao's apology. In response to that, you nodded, making Midorima to back off of Takao.

"I'll be watching you, Takao."

Midorima went away, with a watchful gaze at Takao.

"(nickname)-chan, what was that for?"

You held up your hand to stop Takao from talking any further and then said:

"Did you get hurt?"

"Yeah, here and there."

"Good."

"What?! Goo—"

You slung your arms around Takao's neck and kissed him.

"Better?"

"Better."
