New School

   ''Halseyyyyyyy'' my mum bellowed from downstairs

  ''I'm coming'' I applied my eye liner n touched up my light make up grabbed my keys phone and stuffed them into my bag before racings down the stairs

    ''Why does it take you forever to get ready''

My mom says while handing me a nutella sandwich

''I'm a teenager its what we do''i reply before graciously taking a bite from my oh soooooooo beloved nutella filled sandwich

Mom rolls her eyes before grabbing her handbag,house key and car key then we make our way out of the house mom locking the door behind her and we get into moms car

My mom drives an S-Class Cabriolet Mercedes Benz and she's pretty proud of it

  ''I spoke to the dealer yesterday he says your car should be here by 6pm'' mum says as she pulls out of the garage

  ''Thanks mum''

''No problemo''

We talk about a couple of other things as mom navigates her way to my new highschool that's a fifteen minute drive from my house

''We're here'' mum says as she parks in front of the school
'' kill them kiddo''

''Sureeeee'' I drawl as I unbuckle my seatbelt

''I don't mean kill them literally you're too young to go to jail plus you're my only child my baby my precious stone my je......''

''Mumm'' I cut her off before she rambles on''its just a regular first day at my new highschool''

''I know baby but....''

''I'm going in now,byeee,I love you''
I climb out and shut the door before she begins to ramble again

  I walk into the compound noticing students talking in groups all around the parking lot I walk into the main building and see a reception sign pasted on a door not too far from the entrance

I enter the room and see a woman probably in her early thirties with a beautiful smile

''Hi'' I say nervously

''Hello young lady how may I help you''

''I'm a new student and I was told I need to pick up a few things before beginning class and I don't know where to pick them up from so I figured you could help me''

She gives me a warm smile before replying

''Right...you'll be picking up from the secretary that's a few doors down...''

She gives me directions to the office and when I get there I'm given a map, my locker code,my timetable and a few other things

Once I'm done I head to the Hallway where the lockers are located I put my bag in pull out my literature book,the school map,my pencil case and phone before shutting my locker

I open the map and maneuver my way to my literature class and luckily I'm really good with maps

I walk into the half filled class and take a sit at the middle since I'm not really a fan of both the front and back rows

I pull out my phone and text my best friend back in California

''Hey Leah....are you in class?....just got to class...I miss you and the rest of the gang....talk to you later...xoxo''

I hit the send button and shy

After a couple of seconds a man which I'm presuming is the teacher strides in looking disheveled and wearing a pair of thick rimmed glasses

  ''We're going to be starting with the romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare I know some of you may not have their copy of romeo and Juliet so you should have gotten it by tomorrow so today we'll only be touching the basis of the novel'' he drops  his suitcase on his table and walks over to the board then writes romeo and Juliet in bold letters

Then he turns back to the class
''So what can you tell me about the novel?''
He asks the class in general

A guy at d row behind me raises up his hand

The teacher sighs before saying ''yes Mr Parker''

''Well I'll like to make it known that if I was romeo the new chick with the strawberry blonde hair will totally be my juliet''he points at me before continuing ''and even though I won't die for you I'm too young but I'll totally fuck your brains out''he finishes off winking at me

When he was done I couldn't help push my hair to hide my already red face while everyone in the class snickers or oohsss

''Mr Parker out of my class straight to the principals office''the teacher says tiredly

''Bummer....may I take my Juliet along?'' The guy says while making his way to the door

''No you may not'' the teacher replies closing the door in his face
 
  The rest of the class goes on with boring explanations of romeo and Juliet

When the bell signaling end of the period rings I can't help but feel happy I begin grabbing my books and pencil case when a girl with red hair and a smiling face says ''hi''

''Hey'' I reply

''I'm Amy I'm guessing you're new and I totally love your sense of fashion'' she says all the while smiling

I couldn't help but smile  ''thanks''

''Um I didn't catch your name''

''I'm Halsey and you just sounded like a guy that's tots trying to hit on me''

She chuckles ''that must have something to do with the fact that I'm gay''

''Oh...'' I reply not knowing what to say

''What class do you have next?'' She questions

I look army timetable and groan ''AP calculus''

Her smile brightens ....like is that even possible her  smile was already bright enough I think to myself

''I have the same class,do you mind we walk together?''

''Not at all, I don't even know my way around could we stop by my locker first''

''Sure'' she replies and we make our way over to my locker after grabbing my stuff we head to our class
