It's short but hey, it's here! Enjoy!

The sun was shining outside, Jayce could feel the heat seeping through the dark building, could hear the birds and the day animals as they fluttered around and hunted.

Usually at this time, Jayce and the coven were asleep, yet he couldn't. Anxiety ran under his skin and his inner turmoil kept him up through most of the day. It'd been happening more often recently, he knew it wouldn't be long until his fears came true.
You see Jayce was small, nurturing and compassionate, but in the coven, they had no such use for sweet vampires.

Jayce rubbed his eyes with a harsh breath out, rolling onto his side as he curled up.

The coven had been tense lately, the elders whispering to one another while watching Jayce in such a way he could not hear them. He knew though, knew what they were talking of, it was only a matter of time before he was banished. He knew, inevitably, he would be an Exiled Vampire.

The sun set all to soon and Jayce pushed himself up, fear thrumming in his veins. He could sense the dark cloud of the council hanging over him and his lithe fingers trembled as he got himself ready, packing what he needed in a bag.

No matter how Jayce had tried to fit in, lending a hand wherever possible for the 140 years of his life, he was cast out of the inner coven for being too soft, too useless. His parents were long since dead, leaving him alone with no one to protect him.

A knock came at the door.

"Lower rank, the council wishes to speak to you" a bored huff came through the door and Jayce swallowed hard.

He was useless, the lowest of the lower ranking vamps.

He picked up his bag then, taking one last look of the room and clinging to it with desperation. It was Jayces' final goodbye to the only home he had ever known.

Solemnly he pushed open his door, and ignoring the douchey high rank Gillian, he held his head up and walked himself into his banishment.
