Prologue

"OPEN UP!" a girl yelled through the door, knocking viciously.

Everest rolled her eyes, trudging towards the door before opening it.
"Hey!" Juniper smiled.
"Why'd you come knocking on my door so loud?" Everest groaned, walking back to her couch.
"Becaaaaaause! I got great news!" Juniper excitedly says.
"Did you get me a Gibson Les-Paul guitar?" Everest said with high hopes.
"Nope." Juniper stated.
"Wow I suddenly can't hear anymore, be gone." Everest sarcastically says. Juniper laughs.
"I talked to one of the staff members at Julliard today!" Juniper says, jumping on the couch, stealing Everest's popcorn.
"Why'd you go to our dream school?" Everest said, glaring at her friend as she steals her popcorn.
"Well, I talked to one of the staff members, and they told me the headmaster's email, aaaand I may or may not have sent a video of both of us as an audition to get into the school." Juniper bats her eyelashes doing so.
Everest almost chokes on her popcorn as those words came out of Juniper's mouth.
"YOU WHA-" Everest got cut off.
"HEY! I didn't send a bad video, it's an audition video so I sent him a video of you doing a duet with your clarinet and viola, and I sent him a video of me singing with my guitar." Juniper smiles.
Everest calmed down. "You mean the cover I did of Billie Eilish?" Everest asked. Juniper nodded.
Everest narrowed her eyes. "You're lucky I'm kinda proud of that one." She says before stuffing her face with popcorn again.

{2 weeks later...}

Ding!
Juniper checked her phone as her and Everest were watching a movie on their couch.
"Sorry, probably my mom or something." Juniper suggested before opening her phone up. Everest shrugged and continued to watch the movie before getting interrupted by Juniper screaming.
"What? Did Darren Chen notice you?" Everest laughed.
"Man I wish. BUT NO! THE HEADMASTER OF JULLIARD WANTS TO SEE US TOMORROW!" Juniper screams. Everest's eyes widened, and screams with her once she realized what she had said. Everest suddenly checked the time.
11:44pm
"Wait what time do we have to be there?" Everest asked her best friend as she danced around.
"Uhhh, I think 10am, why?" Juniper asked.
"CRAP WE GOTTA HEAD TO BED IF WE WANNA BE READY TOMORROW!" Everest yelled rushing to the bathroom.
"OH SH- YOU RIGHT!" Juniper yells, also rushing to her bathroom.
The two girls hurriedly got ready for bed, and dived into their bed, getting all comfy before going to sleep.

Beep! Beep! Beep!
Everest groaned as she hit the 'stop' button on her phone. She rubbed her eyes, and reached for her glasses on the bedside table. She can hear Juniper's alarm also going off in the room next to her. She checked the time,
9:05am
"CRAP!" Everest yelled, rolling off her bed and dashing to Juniper's room.
"HURRY UP AND GET READY, JULLIARD IS LIKE HALF AN HOUR AWAY FROM HERE!" Everest yelled at her before sprinting to her bathroom and getting ready. As she was rushing to the bathroom, she heard a faint "crap!" from Juniper as she rolled off her bed also.
Juniper went to her closet and picked out a nice outfit and quickly got ready. Everest got out a loose fitting white t-shirt, black ripped jeans, and her beloved timberland boots.
The two girls dashed downstairs, checking the time as well.
9:26am
"LETS GOO! WE'LL GRAB STARBUCKS ON OUR WAY!" Everest screamed, grabbing her car keys and dashing out the door. "But I- ugh" Juniper started to say before she realized Everest was already out the door and in the car. She dashed out the door, being sure to lock it before hopping into the front seat.

The two girls headed to Starbucks, grabbing a quick coffee while listening to some jams.
They decided to release their nervousness by jamming out to some of their favorite songs.
Every time there was a car next to them, they looked at the two girls as if they were crazed animals, but the girls didn't care, they were in their own world.

They finally arrived at Julliard School about a half hour later. Juniper quickly checked the time, not wanting to be late.
9:57am
"CRAP COME ON!" Everest yelled, quickly unlocking the doors and zooming out, closing the door. Juniper did the same, just not as loud as her friend. They dashed to the front door of the school.
"Hi! We're here to speak with the headmaster, he said he had planned a meeting with us at 10am?" Juniper politely says to the woman at the counter. Everest takes this time to look around the front lobby. "Wow" she breathlessly says. In the corner of her eye, she sees a cute guy talking with another staff member. He was wearing what looked like a marching uniform. He noticed her, and smiled, tilting his head a bit, seeming to not recognize her.
"Ah yes, you're Juniper? And thats Everest correct?" The woman smiled. Everest averted her attention back to the woman at the counter. The two girls excitedly nodded.
"Yes, he's on floor 6, just knock on the door before entering." The woman, named Tiffany, Everest assumes from her name tag.
The two girls said a quick thank you before dashing to the elevator.
They saw a piece of paper taped on the elevator door.
OUT OF ORDER
"Are you seri-" Juniper says distressed before she's suddenly dragged by Everest. "TO THE STAIRS IT IS!" Everest said dragging her to the stairs.
The two girls dashed up the stairs, heading towards the 6th floor. Their adrenaline rush helped them as they weren't tired as they reached the 6th floor. They made a mad dash to the headmaster's office, before nervously knocking.
