Chapter 4

Nick and Jeff walked over to Sebastian and Thad, and Nick said

"What's with the look Sebastian?" Sebastian looked at Nick and said

"What look?" Jeff folded his arms and said

"The look you are giving Rachel right now." Sebastian sighed and said

"I'm trying to figure her out." Sebastian then walked away and into the warbler room with Thad, and Thad said

"Calm down Smythe." Sebastian shook his head and said

"I can't, my cousin might not get better, and a girl I know is with a douche." Thad looked at his and said

"You love her don't you, like how Duvall and Sterling say you do." Sebastian shook his head no and said

"I don't, and if I did, nothing would ever happen, she's in a relationship with some guy who doesn't deserve her and I have so much on my mind right now." Thad put a comforting hand on Sebastian's shoulder and said

"That's why we are going to see her, after school. But right now put your focus on Rachel's audition, it will distract you." Sebastian nodded his head in agreement and said

"Your right." As he said that, the warblers walked in, and sat around, as Sebastian spoke

"Today the warblers could set a new tradition, and they do by letting the first ever girl to attend Dalton to audition, I'll like to welcome Rachel Berry." As he said that, Rachel walked in nervous, not because of her audition but because of the encounter she had with Hunter earlier, Rachel took a deep breath and said

"I'll be singing Human by Christina Perri." Thad nodded his head at Rachel signalling her to proceed the song. Rachel stood in front of them and began to sing

As she sang, she pictured Ava and Lexi, and sang for them. As she sang Sebastian thought of his cousin and how bad she got, that she ended up where she is.

As she finished singing, the boys clapped, and Sebastian looked at her and said

"Rachel, why don't you wait in the hall, while we come to a verdict for you." Rachel nodded her head and left the room, sitting outside in the hall. As she waited, she took out her phone and stared at her twin girls, and smiled. Sebastian watched Hunter, watch her leave, and he said

"We have to come to a vote, do we break tradition and let Rachel in or do we keep the tradition as it is." There were talk and Thad hit his gavel and said

"Quiet." They were all quiet, as Sebastian looked at Nick and said

"Duvall what do you think?" Nick stood up and said

"She's good, she can help us win at sectionals, regionals and nationals." Jeff agreed with Nick, as did Trent, and Hunter. Thad looked at Sebastian and said

"You are the male captain afterall, what do you think?" Sebastian thought about it and said

"I say, she's in." Thad hit his gavel once more and said

"We break tradition and let Rachel join, and as male captain Sebastian tells her." Sebastian nodded and walked out to Rachel. Rachel put her phone away when she saw Sebastian, sitting next to her and he said

"I didn't mean to startle you, but welcome to the warblers Rach." Rachel smiled brightly and said

"Thanks, I couldn't done have done it without you." As she said that the bell went signalling the end of the day, Rachel quickly got up, picked up her things, and walked to her car, and drove home. As she drove home, she worried that people except Quinn and Noah will find out about Ava and Lexi. She parked her car outside her home, and walked inside where she found Quinn and Noah playing with Beth, Ava and Lexi. Rachel smiled at the sight, as Ava looked up and saw her, which made Lexi turn. They rushed over to her and hugged her. Rachel bent down in front of them and said

"Were you both good for your grandma today?" They nodded their heads smiling, and Ava said

"Of course we were." Rachel kissed their foreheads and said

"Why don't you both wash up and we can cook dinner together with Beth and your aunt Quinny." The girls smiled brightly and then rushed off to wash up. Rachel smiled at the twins, and walked to her room to change. Sebastian wondered why Rachel rushed off quickly, as soon as the bell went, he was deep in thought when Thad nudged him and said

"Wanna go see her, I'll drive you." Sebastian stood up, followed Thad out of Dalton, and said

"What if she doesn't want to see me?" Thad shook his head as they got into his car, and started driving out of the school grounds and said

"She will, you are her cousin. She just tells you it's not your fault, which it isn't." Sebastian sighed and said

"I could have stopped it before it got worse." Thad worried for his friend and said

"You couldn't, not if she kept pushing you away." Sebastian stayed silent as Thad continued to drive and said

"Marley will be okay Smythe, I know she will." Thad parked the car in the car park, and walked inside with Sebastian, who went to a room, knocked softly on the door, where a girl with light brown hair looked towards the door, smiled and said

"Sebastian, Thad."
