“How'd you like the house?” Arianna Beaumont asked the newly wed couple coming out of the home for sale. They both glanced at each other,  with disappointment “Oh no, what was wrong with it?”
“For starters…” the young lady spoke up “....the floors in all rooms are outdated…”
“Well it is an old home, I believe I told you this.”
“Anyways, some places of the walls looked uneven and the neighborhood isn't for us. There appears to be so many people with no class and I'm sure, they are eventually going to show their true colors, isn't that right honey?” The young man slowly nods. “Do you have anymore homes that you guys
show us?” she asks rudely.
“ Actually we looked at five different homes already and you seem to have said similar comments to those as well” Arianna tried to be as polite as she could.
The young lady gave her a look of disgust “I'm sorry, but what are you trying to say?”
“Nothing at all, ma'am...it's just that I've showed you guys all the ones on the list and I haven't came across any others along your budget Mr. and Mrs. Lewis.”
“Well that list was from really poor judgement, if you please choose the next group of homes, more carefully Mrs……” she thought for a moment “I'm sorry, but what was your name again?”
Arianna clears her throat “ Mrs. Beaumont, Arianna Beaumont”
“Right...right...now we must get going Mrs. BEAUMONT….” she grabs Mr. Lewis and pulls him along and continues to mutter quietly." As soon as they were out of earshot she curses quietly, she really needs to retire.

Later that afternoon, she was finally home and hoped Kyle, her husband of almost thirty years, wasn't home, at least not yet. She just wanted to relax by herself for an hour. Just her and bandit, her bombay cat. She walks into the kitchen, sets her purse on the kitchen table and walks to the pantry to pull out a tea bag. She was in the mood for lavender, she sets the teapot on top of the stove and turns it on. As the water boils, Arianna goes upstairs and changes into lounge wear and opens a can of cat food for Bandit. The teapot whistles and she pulls it from the stove and pours the steaming liquid in a mug, opens the tea bag and puts it inside and sits on the screened porch outside. A squirrel scurries across her yard to her maple tree, its leaves now a bright red. Fall was here in good old Michigan and she loves it.
After a few minutes Bandit decides to join her and lays on his favorite, for his afternoon nap, by her feet. After about an hour she gets up, goes into the kitchen quietly as to not disturb Bandit, and prepares a quick dinner for herself and Kyle.

Kyle, as always calls and lets her know that he wasn't gonna be home until very late and he'll get a bite to eat somewhere else. Not a surprise there, Arianna sighs “why do I even bother” she mutters to Bandit, who could care less and prances away into the living room. “you are just like, him….you know that.” she calls after him.

She washes hers and Bandit's dish and tends to her large garden, it always took her about two hours to tend to all the daisies, baby's breath, carnations, daffodils and many more.

Both Kyle and her own a two floor, lake house, in which was passed down to Arianna, from her great late grandfather, that belong to his father. Even though it needed a lot of work done, from top to bottom, she still cherished it. She wanted to higher someone to help her fix it up, to be brand new once again in time for when she retires. On the other hand, Kyle  wants  to move from this outdated home and into a more modern one, but she rudely declined.

A few hours past midnight, Arianna hears the alarm go off,  it was probably Kyle, she sighs and looks over at the clock on the nightstand, it reads 3:15 a.m., every night he seemed to come later. She sits up, grabs her robe, and quietly walks down the long wooden staircase. Kyle was, clumsily skimming through the fridge, he reeked of alcohol. The alarm was still booming and she runs to disarm it. “Why so late, Kyle it's after 3:00 a.m.”

Kyle turns around to face her “oh hello honey….” he stumbles towards her and gives her a peck on the cheek “Did I wake you?” Bandit creeps in the kitchen, probably trying to figure out what was all the riff raff.

“I see you decided to have a few drinks, on a Thursday.” she murmurs in annoyance, already use to his shenanigans.

Kyle chuckles “Oh honey...it's okay...I'm good, besides I can drink whenever I have the desire to drink.”he slurs

She rolls her eyes “well did you at least, get a ride back or did you drove yourself?”

“I drove….home...like I said I am fiiiine….F...I...N...N….E….” he grins

“Sure you are….well you know the drill, you sleeping on the couch again.”

“Whatever…..what you make to eat?”

“I made myself  pepper-jack steak and a Greek salad, I think there is still a little salad left in the fridge, help yourself”

“A salad? How is that going to help me out?”

“I don't know….I'm going back to bed, make sure to turn off, everything.” she turns to go back upstairs

“Wait just a second, Arianna.” he grabs her by the arm “I'm not done talking to you. Where is the respect for your husband, a wife's duty is to listen to everything their husband says…”

She tears her arm away “Oh well you lost that respect the day you decided to bring a beer bottle to your lips and decided that it was ok to come home, whatever time you liked.” she sighs “Just because you're a C.E.O, doesn't mean you can or should do anything you want.” she argues and continues upstairs, Bandit close behind.

“This is why, I do what it is what….I do woman.” he slurs angrily

“Don't make a mess in my house. I come home really tired from work to clean up after you everytime.”

“yea, yea….” he scowls and goes back to the fridge to look for that so called salad. “I'm the one who paying the huge part of the bills, I deserve a steak too, damn it” he grumbles.
