I switched to sophomore year because that's where I plan to have her key events and glow up.

Over the summer I started to get noticed more and more but I just ignored 95% of the boys.I said 95% because there was a boy I was looking at but I didn't know how to tell him.Well we were texting over the summer and he didn't really know that I liked him.I guess this particular your girl is being brave.By the way Jay doesn't like him one bit I can't see why,I mean Darell didn't do anything.But I texted him anyways:

So I was feeling myself.Me and Darell would always hug in the hallways and almost everyone in the school knew how we felt about each other.But,Darell hasn't asked me out yet.
I told Jay that I liked Darell and he spazzed.He wasn't angry at me but at Darell because he didn't like him.

Darell:Listen I have to focus on school so please don't take this personal.It's not you its me honest.I hope you can understand
Dee:Yea sure we can still be friends
I typed that message knowing I was lying and had confused emotions
Then I got a text from Lai

Dee:Darell just told me he wanna be friends and I feel so used
Lai:really cause he just asked me out
Dee:huh?
Lai:I didn't know I'm sorry I already said yes
Dee:Its ok
Lai:No imma tell him no and cuss him out for not letting me know cause he know your my bestie
Dee:Exactly since you're my bestie no matter what you're still gonna be my bestie.we weren't serious anyways

As soon as I could I called who I always called when I have problems...Jay

Jay answered the phone sounding tired."Hello" he said.All I could do was cry."Dee what happened" he said sounding concerned.
"Darell" I said trying to make out my words. "What did he do.I know where he stay just let me know" He said seriously. "no he...just told me he wanna be friends and focus on school."I said trying to calm down."Man imma beat his ass"he exclaimed."
"Then he asked Lai out"I said knowing his reaction."He did what"."Calm down Jay its ok"I said wiping my tears.
I explained how I felt the whole night...How could he just play me like that. I should have listened to Jay. All that time I've wasted texting him talking to him hugging him. Gone down the drain. On top of that he's messing with my best friend. I really feel betrayed but I don't want to tell Lai because I don't want to ruin our friendship. But I am serious about the saying that we'll always be best friends because me and Darell weren't even that serious.We were just on the talking stages.
I didn't even want to go to school. But I knew if I told my grandma the reason why she would act out.She'll come to the school like always and address the person and their parent.
I just felt like all my energy has been drained from wasting time with Darrell. I just hope it's not awkward.
