Chapter 1

~ Jessica's POV ~

"Ahhh, I can't believe what is happening to me," I said joyously. Today is my final day at home with my family in Florida. I've only packed what I think I need. My family and Chelsea's family is having a going away party for me and my bestie, Chelsea.

Chelsea, my best friend since 6th grade. We grew up from being immature to mature. We are mature young college kids about to start college, the future is way ahead of us. I take a moment to remember that me and Chelsea wanted to say goodbye to some close friends who works at the cafe where we used to work.

"O Jess...." Chelsea says. I've been wondering if she was thinking about the cafe thing too.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Would you like to go grab a coffee and say goodbye to a couple friends at the cafe?"

"Of course, let me just grab my purse," I put my wallet, keys, and phone into my purse.

As soon as we walk in, I get hit by the smell of coffee. I'm going to miss working here, but hey life goes on. The first person, I see is Andrew. Let me tell you a little bit about my friend Andrew, he's also known as my friendly, ex boyfriend. I relationship lasted about 3 years, until we decided to break up after graduation because we thought we want different things in the future. So we decided that the feeling was mutual, that we will remain as friends.

"Heyyy Andrew." Chelsea said.

"Hey, I'm going to miss you two sooo much" says Andrew.

He comes around to hug Chelsea, but when he gets to me he said he wanted to talk to me before I go off to college.

"I'm going to leave you two to talk, I got to go say my goodbyes." says Chelsea, she winks at me before leaving.

"So you know how we agreed on staying as friends?"

"Yeah."

"Does that mean we can date other people?"

"Yeah....yeah, of course I don't want to hold you back."

"Okay, I wish you the best of luck at school." Andrew smiles at me.

His smile still gives me flutters in my stomach. I can't believe we even broke up in the first place but I could only guess that he likes someone else or something.

"Jess...Jess...JESS" Andrew looks at me with confusion.

"Oh sorry...umm thanks see around." I feel so sad but happy because this is a new chapter of my life, and I'm going to make every second count.

After about an hour later, me and Chels headed back home. When we entered the house, the lights were off. When I turned on the light switch...

"SURPRISE!!"

"Thank you everyone!" me and Chels said in unison. 

"We are so very proud of you Jess, you have come a long way. Even though we have had some rough times, we have had good times. What we are trying to say is live your life to the fullest but do it responsible. Make good choices, I do not want to get a call saying you're in jail or that you got suspended or expelled from school. We love you we all do, same goes for you, Chelsea." says my mom.

"We love you guys too."

"Let's get this party rolling, so that you too can also have a good night sleep."

NEXT MORNING 

"We love you all!"

"Have a safe trip, call us when you arrive there, we love you too."

"Finally us two fresh young woman out on our way to our dream college!" says Chelsea.

"I can't believe it"

"Believe it sister"

We are in my car about 2 hours left to get to HARVARD! Right now, Chelsea is sleeping so I decided to play some music until we get there.

2 HOURS LATER

We have just arrived and the school looks amazing (the picture is above).

"Finally we are here!!" I exclaim.

"That was the longest car ride ever!"

"Girl, you didn't do anything but sleep and eat."
