"so Thor can you tell me where we are going now?," I asked, we were sitting in the back of a car surrounded by the countryside and we had been driving for what felt like forever. Thor was wearing his armour which was unusual but I brushed it off after a while, I was wearing a casual outfit that could be fit for any occasion so whatever we are doing. I hadn't felt any more pain like last night and my mind didn't feel as toyed with as it did previously but to say I wasn't on guard would be a lie.

"I don't need too, we're here" Thor announced, getting out of the vehicle with me following him shortly afterwards, we were in the middle of a field.

"I love nature but I have to ask why we are standing, abandoned, in the middle of nowhere," I asked, completely lost and confused, I watched closely as the Blonde Asgardian extends his hand and after a few minutes Mjolnir flys into his grasp

"are you ready?" Thor asked in his deep tone, it took me a while to put the pieces together of what he meant but still not where "hold on to me" I wrapped my arms around his waist and buried my head into his chest to make sure I didn't fall, a neon streak of rainbow circled us and I felt us zooming up the tunnel, it was definitely an experience that doesn't happen every day for everyone.

I felt our feet back on the ground causing me to let out a sigh of relief. I didn't realise I had shut my eyes but I felt the bright sun on my eyelids causing me to open them, I saw a golden palace that was glimmering in the sunlight and a grand city, it was breathtaking and so extravagant "Thor is this?" I began to ask but found myself trailing off, my eyes were going everywhere, trying to take every detail in.

"Asgard? yes, it's amazing isn't it?" The Asgardian answers

"it's beautiful" I whisper back, mesmerized

"let me take you across the bridge then I can show you around after you are dressed" I regained composure enough to answer fully. we began to walk across the long and sparkling bridge that is all the colours of the rainbow, it's nothing like I've ever seen before.

"did Clint tell you?" I smiled up at him

"Barton told me how you read books and got told many tales of Asgard as a young child and how it would be the perfect birthday present to come to my home" Thor explained with a look of pride on his face

"there are no words for it, thank you, Thor" I thanked him and carried on looking around

"and for today you are Adeline Maximoffdottir" Thor pulled me into a bear hug then continued to walk down the bridge that we were nearly at the end of

"it has a ring to it" I laughed back, everything here felt peaceful and pure, as if no one had ever felt pain here but that wasn't the case, everywhere you go, people have felt pain, I could sense it, I could read it in their minds.

"come on, I shall take you to your dressing room and then there are some people I would like you to meet" Thor lead the way into the marvellous palace and made us turn down several hallways filled with red designs and decorations to compliment the gold "I will wait outside for you Lady Maximoffdottir" there was a woman with long hair and a beautiful dress on, waiting inside for me, I felt slightly intimidated by how High-class everyone looked but continued to walk in despite my insecurities.

"My Lady, I have the perfect gown for you" the fair-skinned woman held up a white, long, off the shoulder dress with green and gold crystals on the sleeves of it, it was gorgeous

"thank you" I thanked her whilst still attempting to wrap my mind around all of this, she walked out of the room, leaving me to change by myself. I was careful when putting it on, the last thing I wanted to do is cause any damage to a royal gown that is certainly meant for princesses and not me. I looked down at my body that fit nicely into the white material, I felt like a goddess. I walked out to see Thor waiting for me patiently, "If captain Rogers was here to see you, he would be at a loss for words" Thor compliments me, making me blush at the thought of Steve's reaction to me

"thank you very much, it's beyond extravagant" It would be amazing if everyone on Earth could dress like this and if it was as pure as Asgard is, I already hated the thought of leaving

"would you like to meet some friends of mine first or I can show you around the garden and city?," Thor asks with his red cape flowing behind him

"I mean I would love to meet your friends," I say in disbelief, it just keeps getting better and better.

we walk into a hall with what looks like people debating matters that could be serious "Adeline meet Lady Sif, Asgards fiercest warrior" he introduces me to a brunette woman dressed in armour and carrying a long sword

"it's a pleasure to see another woman in charge around here" The woman I now know as Sif greets me

"always a pleasure knowing that a woman is in charge" I smirk back, leaving Thor the odd one out and ganged up on

"I like her Thor, bring her for longer next time, Asgard could do with more people like Adeline" the finest warrior punches Thor in the arm playfully

"I'm afraid Adeline is of earth and belongs to the Avengers" Thor replies whilst I stand there, observing the difference between Asgardians and midgardians. it was fascinating.

"till next time Lady Sif" I bid her farewell as Thor lead us out of the massive hall and outside, there were so many different flowers growing from the walls and the ground, they were everywhere. It was beautiful.

"If they are where they normally are, I believe you'll be meeting two other people soon, I know you have had a bad encounter with one of them before but these two are always with each other" Thor explains vaguely with vast hand gestures, if It is who I think it is, this is about to be very awkward.

we turned the corner and sitting at a table, two raven-haired figures sat there, one reading and the other one drinking from a large bottle, I watched as Loki's face turned into an evil smirk as he saw me standing next to Thor "Adeline meet Valkyrie, the last of her kind and you know my brother" Valkyrie looked powerful but also laid back at the same time, I already liked her

"nice to meet you Adeline" the woman who had her legs slung over the arm of the chair, raised her bottle instead of waving, I remember being told of the Valkyries when I was younger

"right back at you" I nodded my head, everybody here brings out a different side to me, a more confident and royal side. I catch a glimpse of Loki out of my peripheral vision but it seems he is already staring at me

"you look ravishing in Asgardian attire" from anyone else I would accept the act of kindness but from the God of mischief who caused me to pass out and nearly terminated my relationship, I think not.

"you've never looked worse, Loki" I fake a smile and happily watch as his face turns sour, he can't always get what he wants. someone came running up to us out of nowhere, he looked like one of the kings soldiers

"under Odin's request, Thor and Valkyrie, follow me" the smartly dressed man spoke in such a way that made it easy to think he was from Shakespearean times

"I'm sorry, I shall return shortly" Thor apologised then ran behind the mysterious man with Valkyrie by his side which left me and Loki alone, together

"so you're here on Asgard, you couldn't keep your distance from me?" Loki spoke up, of course, he couldn't leave us in silence

"you can't always get what you want Loki" I will stand my ground until Thor gets back

"I don't want, what is already mine" He started taking steps towards me

"I'll never be yours" I spit like venom

"oh you will be, I have lived long enough deprived, alone, lied too" I didn't need to hear Loki's pathetic sob story or excuse, whatever he wanted to call it.

I wasn't left alone with him much longer before the two came back and Thor continued our tour, we walked around the Gardens as he told me facts about Asgard and stories of the City's history. I asked questions upon questions but never told him about what Loki had said to me, I knew there was bound to be some encounter with the devil himself and on top of that, I wanted to indulge in being here. I simply don't have that sort of time to pay attention to something with such irrelevance.
