"Joon hurry up the moon is appearing." You giggled, running towards the balcony of your Seoul apartment.
"I'm coming shush." Namjoon, your boyfriend of six years shouted from the kitchen, appearing next to you no longer than five seconds later wearing his favourite green hoodie, the hood masking his freshly dyed hair, making his face look rounder than usual and checkered pyjama bottoms.
You pulled the white fluffy blanket that he had gifted to you one Christmas over the two of you. Your head resting on his chest and Namjoon's arm snaking it's way round the back of you.
Every night, you and Namjoon would watch how the moon shines over the tall buildings of Seoul, quietly sleeping in the still hours of the night. Namjoon loved the way the moon and the stars looked during the night and you'd always admired him for it.
"Popcorn?" He offered, shaking the bowl towards you, how could you say no?
"It gets prettier every day." He whispered, sighing in awe of the moon and placing a kiss to the top of your head.
"It sure does moonchild." You giggled, calling Namjoon by his favourite nickname and feeding him a piece of popcorn, which he gave a smile in return.
Namjoon always looked handsome but for some reason he glowed when the moon was out and the stars glistened at night. It was moonchild's time to shine.
He'd sit with a smile on his face, dimples forming on the sides of his mouth and his cheeks looked chubbier than usual. Starlike flecks would appear in his dark brown eyes you had stared so deeply into many times before. Nothing but admiration masked his face as he watched the moon playing peek-a-boo, weaving in and out of ribbons of black clouds.
He always looked at peace during the night, like every problem he faced was solved and you admired this side of him.
The moon was Namjoon's nightscape and you were pretty sure the moon felt the same way about its moonchild.
