Getting Close To The Gangleader

Chapter 11

"It's really nothing. You work your ass off everyday."

I nod and he heads out the office. I turn around to see Aaron and Gabriel in the room.

"Aaron change and go take your place with the others. I'll have someone stay with Gabriel downstairs."

He nods and goes off. I put our stuff down in my office before taking Gabriel's hand and going to Lizabelle's room. I go in without knocking and find her on the bed with Zander. He looks at me and opens his mouth to say something but I interrupt him.

"I don't have time to explain anything to you right now nor do I want to. You're going to follow me and you'll stay with the kids."

He nods and gets up from the bed with Lizabelle. I walk out the room and he follows me. We go to the basement and keep going straight. I put the code in for the room and the door opens. We go in and I pull Zander aside.

"Listen, we're going to get attacked in a couple of minutes. Whatever you do, do not open that door to anyone. Whoever is a part of the gang knows the code. And if anyone tries to break in Gabriel knows where to hide."

I turn around to leave but he grabs my hand and pulls me back.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything I said that day. I was just mad and I said things I shouldn't have. I know I was out of line but I don't want to lose you."

"I don't want to lose you either. I have to go right now but we'll talk more when this is all over."

He grabs my chin gently and pulls my face to his. We lock lips but are interrupted when I hear a gun go off. I pull away and give Gabriel a quick kiss on the cheek before running out the door with a gun in my hand. I make my way up the stairs as I hear the door behind me close.

I make it outside and get into position with the rest of the gang. I have people stationed around the house, outside and some on the second floor. We all stay silent until we hear a group of footsteps approaching. Once they are close enough I give the signal and that's when we start shooting. We catch them off guard and manage to kill some but others were smart enough and took cover.

We've taken out more than half but there are some that are hiding and we can't shoot them. I tell Aaron to cover me before getting up from my position and going towards where they are hiding. As I find each one of them I shoot them in the head until there is one left. I shoot his arm and he drops the gun but right before I shoot him in the head I get a look of his hand and see he holds the same tattoo as the gang who killed my parents. I hover over him and punch him in the face.

"Why were you sent here?"

"I'm not saying anything."

"Suit yourself but don't expect me to go easy on you. I will torture you in every way you can imagine. So you can either tell me now or I can torture you and force the answers out of you. What's it going to be?"

"I'm still keeping my mouth shut princess." I throw another punch at him and he groans as my men go to get him.

"Don't call me princess. Take him to the cells and tie him up tight. I'll be down there soon."

They pull him up from the ground as they proceed to take him down. I turn around and look at the people remaining outside.

"Thank you for fighting and holding a strong fort. You all fought great today but I don't think this is the last we'll be seeing of them. I think they will attack again so you should prepare yourselves."

I dismiss them and they all go inside except for a few of them who stay back to clean up the bodies. I go inside and start making my way into the basement. I put in the code and the door opens. Gabriel comes running to me and I open my arms out. I hug him tightly and kiss him on the cheek.
