Peridot POV

She's a jerk she's a jerk you don't deserve her she used you she played with your heart like a toy she damaged you she made you broken like this she chose her over you after all you did for her all the pain and hurt you've been through for her meant nothing not only she broke your heart she also broke your pride she called you names she called you short ugly stupid useless nothing and a monster right in front of the person she wants to be together with a sinister smile and smile with no regrets a smile that shows her way of seeing you....but why just why do you still love her after all she done to you!? Peridot screamed as she folded herself with her knee near her chest a both hands grabbing a handful of her hair, tears running down her cheeks as she rocks herself back and forth. ....*hic*....she isn't the one for Peridot don't be sad because of her....*sniff* but I just can't! Peridot screams at herself in her empty house; she grew up without family she was left by her mother according to the orphanage. At young she managed to earn money from making robonoids and selling them she bought a house when she was old enough to and lived on her own. Her phone buzzed she picked it up and saw a message from Amethyst.

Amethyst

Hey p-dot how's it going?

Awful but I'm fine I guess...

C'mon dot she doesn't deserve you, you're too good for her.

Alright the gems and I are going to your place now.

Yup this is it the gems are gonna be here soon and they're gonna see how fucked up you are over Lap... Lapis... Peridot thought as she placed her phone down feeling a tear roll down her cheek. Lapis...*sigh*... Peridot stop you have to stop. She went to her living room sat on her couch dozing off after all that crying.

Time past

She woke up to the sound of doorbell ringing at her door she walked up to the door opened and saw the gems that looked at her in shock they immediately imbrace her into a hug. Peridot feeling better knowing that there are still a few people that still cares and still love her. She hugged back and they stayed like that'll for a while. They broke the hug and brought Peridot to her living room and settled her down on her couch. They talked to her which made her feel way better than before. They decided to do more activities with Peridot to get her mind off her. Which Peridot agreed on. She hang out with Amethyst and Steven more sometimes Amethyst only they would go for a run at the morning and relax for the rest of they're day. Garnet would bring Peridot to the gym which Peridot was suddenly fond to and sometimes would have a short but thoughtful conversation with Garnet. Pearl would make robots or do nerds stuff or sometimes even baking together. She full heartedly thanked them for being by her side and being the best friends a girl would ever ask for. They helped her get over Lapis but a little part of Peridot still loves her... But Peridot pushed that thought away and focused on more important things like her friends. She grew taller over the years which kinda pissed Amethyst off because she couldn't grow tall like Peridot, she grew more muscle from spending her gym time with Garnet and became hella rich from selling her newly evention and owned a company of her own. Her relationship with the gems are closer and she knew that she finally had a....family. she is now 25 years old grew 176cm tall but still shorter than Garnet who stands 182cm and Pearl who stands 174cm (also shocked with Peridot's sudden growth). Amethyst stand in 164cm and Steven stand in 159 (still 14 and haven't hit puberty).

Peridot changed her image she got a fresh army side cut and a pointed mowhawk she wore yellow tempted visors given by Garnet on her 22nd birthday and mostly wear tux or hoodies. She wore a peridot necklace given by Amethyst and Pearl. She carried a tape recorder given to her which was made by Steven and a belt that she made pacificly for the tape recorder to carry it around easily.

Present time

I was driving home from work it was raining heavily I stopped as I saw the traffic light turn red, I saw a girl running down the street and fell down I got out my car a ran to the girl.

That's when I saw the girl who broke my heart the girl who left me broken. Lapis Lazuli.

I stared down and I saw a scene that broke my heart more her eyes were red and puffy she was covered with bruises and cuts; she looked at me scared and confused. I took off my vest put around her and carried her bridal style and ran towards my car I put her at the front passenger sit buckled her I gently closed the door and ran to the driver sit I hopped in. I start the car and drove to my house. She was confused she wanted to speak up but didn't. I parked at my garage I got out and carried shaken Lapis into my house I gently place her on my couch I ran to grab the first aid I went to still shakened Lapis and showed her the aid kit she nods in response I kneeled in front her and nursed through her cuts a wounds "w-who...are you?" Lapis finally asked. I looked at her guessing she probably can't see my eyes since I'm wearing my visors "It doesn't matter" I deadpanned trying not to remember the pain she put me through. She hissed in pain as I dabbed rubbing alcohol on her wound "Gosh, sorry sorry!" I freaked out "Its okay, its okay" I nodded and looked down continue fixing her wound. After I finished I got up "S-so.... Where are you living at I can drive you home" she panicked "No!" then there was silence "I-I mean I can't go back..."

Something or someone has definitely done something to Lapis I thought. "Okay... You can sleep in my room" she looked at me shocked then look back down and nodded I walked to my room but stopped when I saw Lapis still sitting on the couch. I sighed and carried her to my room I placed her on the bed put covers over her.
I walked out of my room but was stopped by Lapis "H-hey where are you going?" I turned to look at her "I'm going to sleep at the couch is that okay with you?" she nods and back to lying down "G-goodnight and thanks for helping me,....." I smiled and nodded. I closed the door and crashed on my couch. The only thing that went through my mind was here you go again Peridot don't show her any feelings or your face. You don't want to be hurt again. And that I slept.
