"I don't like downtown", I whispered to my sisters. My oldest sister, Angelica, had dragged us all downtown for some reason unbeknownst to us,
"Well, that's too bad. You're here and don't worry. You're with us, as long as we stick together, no one will hurt you", Angelica replied.
"Fine, but if someone breaths right at me or even looks in my direction, I'm running home", I crossed my arms.
Eliza and Peggy laughed and Angelica just smiled. "Alyssa, look around! We're in the greatest city in the world! There's is so much history happening and we are right in the middle of it", Angelica spun around.
"But I'd rather be at home reading", I grumbled.
"A little fresh air never hurt anybody", Eliza started.
"Well, just you wait. I'm gonna have a heart attack any minute", I complained.
"I think you're just overreacting. And we are here on very important business", Angelica stated.
"And what is this oh so important business?", I asked.
"Getting you a boyfriend", Peggy teased.
I blushed at the comment, arms still crossed. "I don't need one!", I commented.
"Well, you're gonna have to get married at some point. Why not know? So Daddy can stop worrying that you'll be alone forever?" , Eliza admitted.
"Daddy knows I'll be independent", I defended.
"Daddy also drinks because you can't get a boyfriend", Peggy added.
"Is that so? I don't see any of you married either" I pointed out.
"Ladies, let's just explore. We can find husbands later", Angelica butted in.
Of course, Angelica has always been the most mature, since she's the oldest. We walked for a while until a man came up to us.
"Excuse me miss, I know it's not funny, but you're perfume smells like your daddy's got money. Why are you slumming in the city with your fancy heels? Are you searchin' for an urchin who can give you ideals?" The man asked Angelica.
"Burr, you disgust me" She crossed her arms.
"Oh, so you've discussed me? I'm a trust fund baby, you can trust me" , he replied.
After that line, Angelica started talking about her reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine and how she wanted women to have equal rights. I and the other sisters jumped in, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal" We all exclaimed in unison. After that, he left us alone, thankfully.
"So what do you want to do next?" Angelica asked us.
"Let's go explore" I recommend.

HELLO, MY NAME IS ELDER GRANT! I'm kidding, anyways. It's me, the author! I hope you enjoy this story because I worked hard.
Edit: I have another account and decided to move the story here because I don't like going back and forth between accounts. But I'll still update on that account.
