I ran, through the dark forest tripping up on tree roots, crashing into tree branches sweat dripping off my face. 'I won't let them have it! Never again! They tricked me! They made me think I was doing good! I should have know better! All I wanted to do was help!' Tears stained my gritty face. Even though I knew they had stopped following me I continued deeper into the forest. As mush as I wanted to carry on running, my legs gave way underneath me, making me trip up upon an tree root, forcing me to the ground. I tried to get back up. But I couldn't, my body felts saw all over, even trying to move a muscle caused me to grit my teeth in agony- letting out a cry. When I could not take is any more I gave in and rested my head against the damp earth and closed my eyes, allowing the darkness to consume me.
Authors note: Hey, what do you think about the first chapter? I know it is a bit short but I wanted it to end on a cliffhanger.
