His eyes. They were the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. And let's not get confused. This is not some school girl crush. But his eyes. It wasn't anything special. Not different then any other pair of eyes. Someone would even say, they are just eyes. You use them to see. There isn't supposed to be anything beautiful about them. And it's not like I'm saying he's beautiful. We're both guys, I couldn't even think about something like that for a second. But.. it's not fair.. those eyes.. they are like the sky. It's fascinating how much can be held in two little pupils. God I wish my eyes were that coo-

''WATCH OUT!!!'' was the last thing I heard before I crashed to the ground along with the ball that hit me straight in the face. Worried yells followed by a loud ''HINATA BOKE!!!'' were more than enough to snap me out of my thoughts.

I totally forgot I was at practice. But Kageyama will be sure to remind me. And soon enough, in fast strides the demon king made his way over towering over my small frame. Man this was one of those times I regret not being two meters tall. I could only look as he started pulling on my hair angrily telling me to pay attention, before Sugawara-san came to my rescue. I made a note to thank him later, who knows where I would be without him. Probably a hospital bed. Most definitely a hospital bed.

I decided for my own good I should leave my thoughts for later and concentrated on hitting the next ball that flew my way. Soon enough it was time to finish up because the coach let us leave early. Probably because it has snowed hard this weekend. I wasn't really listening when he explained before. I was too busy thinking about making a snowman. Luckily I brought a beanie and a scarf so I can put it on him. Just have to make sure no one sees me because we are not allowed to stay behind after school close-

''OI BOKE'' angry Kageyama smacked me on the head. How long was he calling me?

''Sorry, I was spacing out'' I said rubbing the sore spot. Why is he here anyway? I need to make sure I'm left alone. Can't risk getting caught.

''I can see that idiot. What are you doing just standing there? We are supposed to leave.''

''I know.. but.. could you go on without me? I have some .. business..'' Man this is awkward. What am I supposed to say anyway?

''Business? What business could you possibly have at the school grounds?'' Kageyama was practically glaring at me. I could see he was getting impatient so I decided it would be best if I told him while I can still talk ... I shuddered at the thought of making him mad.

''I wanted to build a snowman!!'' I almost yelled out. The angry look on his face turned to surprise.

''Snowman? What, are you a kid?''

''As a mater of fact, yes, I am! If you want to laugh go ahead, but I'm doing it and that's final!'' I said crossing my arms. He really gets on my nerves sometimes. I looked up from the corner of my eye, and I could see him contemplating before finally looking back at me.

''Okay, I'll help you build it.''

....

''Huh!?'' What?! Did I hear right? Kageyama Tobio wants to help me build a snowman?

''Didn't you say just now it's for kids?!'' Is he making fun of me?

He looked at the ground while rubbing his neck.

''Don't think much about it dumbass. You would probably suck at it and stay here all night trying to make it. Knowing you, you'd catch a cold and you wouldn't be able to play. I'm just making sure your stupid self doesn't do something that will interfere with our practice.''

This demon king has the nerve to say that to me?! I am the one that's older! If anyone here can't build a snowman that's him!

''You want to see who can build a snowman faster Bakageyama?''

I can see his eyes widen for a moment before he gave me one of his famous smirks.

''Bring it on dumbass''

One failed attempt and ten minutes of bickering later, I was finally done with my snowman. I stepped back admiring my work. I added my scarf too to make it look prettier. Orange looked good with the setting sun in the background. I looked up to see Kageyama was also done with his. He met my gaze and gave me a smug look he always has when he thinks he won. Well not this time king.

''I think we can all agree that I obviously won because I finished first.''

''No way. You might have finished first but my snowman is bigger.''

''We competed over who can build it faster not whose is bigger.''

''Wanna fight dumbass?!''

''Bring it on Bakageyama!''

And did he bring it on. Before I even finished my sentence his hand was already holding a meatball-sized snowball. He put his arm back and swinged it with all his strength. I didn't have time to react. I just closed my eyes as it collided with my face and sent me tumbling back a few steps before I tripped over my gym bag and finally met the ground, my best friend.

I got up after a few seconds of regaining consciousness. I hate to admit it but man did it hurt. I was rubbing my sore face and getting the snow out of my hair, my beanie far of to the right. Kageyama was standing on the same place, buried in his tracks, with the scared look on his face. I stopped shaking the snow off and just looked at him with the look that said 'I'll get my revenge.'' When he saw that I wasn't hurt he sighed deeply, like he was relieved. My chest felt warm all of a sudden . Was that why he looked scared? He worried about me? I wasn't expecting someone like him to worry about anyone. Well maybe his mother. Probably.

I gave my hair one last ruffle before I got up and started cleaning my clothes as well. I heard his footsteps come closer so I turned around and saw him crouch down.

He pulled my beanie out of the snow and shook the remaining snowflakes before carefully putting it on my head. Very slowly, his hand reaches out to remove a strand of loose hair behind my ear. His fingers on my cheek are surprisingly soft and warm. His eyes catch mine and we stay like that for a moment. He parts his lips a bit, like he wants to say something, but then he changed his mind and I can see the crease between his furrowed eyebrows, confusion written all over his face. My heart starts beating faster as I realize his warm fingers are still on my face, which seems odd, but not unpleasant. I look up once again. Blue pupils painted with the pink and golden shades of the remaining sun, staring right back at mine. I could hear a bird flying off the nearby tree, and a school janitor coming around the back of the gym, about to lock up. But I didn't care about any of that. Not even when he called out to us saying we should head home. All I could see were colors. The colors of the sky, the colors of the sun. And finally..

His eyes. They were the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. And let's not get confused. This is not some school girl crush. But his eyes. If there is one thing I want to see for the rest of my life, it's his eyes.
