he wanted to love her
he tried so hard
but her self confidence was draining
and her heart wasn't retaining his love.
he was tired
of her inconsistency,
she wanted him
then she didn't at all.
he just wanted to sweep her up
and fly away.
but she had broken wings
from her past
and so she couldn't keep up with him.
he held onto her
with all his might
but he got tired
of holding on
and so he dropped her
in midair
and she fell.
she landed in a forest
alone.
she used the branches to scrape off her humanity
because who needs that anyway.
she used the leaves to wipe away her tears.
and when someone cared to look for her
she was already gone,
insane.
because her insecurity
was seen as unloveable.
